Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the indie sci-fi romance In Your Eyes. The album features the original song Crumblin’ written by the film’s screenwriter Joss Whedon and performed by Noah Maffit & Jessica Freedman. Also included are songs by Santigold, Iron & Wine, Opus Orange and Twinbed, as well as a track from the film’s score composed by Tony Morales. Danny Bensi and Saunder Jurriaans have been hired to score the upcoming indie drama Last Days in the Desert. The film is written and directed by Rodrigo Garcia and stars Ewan McGregor, Tye Sheridan, Ciaran Hinds and Ayelet Zurer. The movie follows a holy man and a demon on a journey through the desert who encounters a family struggling to survive, which forces him to confront his own fate. Julie Lynn (The Jane Austen Book Club, Albert Nobbs) and Bonnie Curtis (Minority Report, A.I. Artificial Intelligence) are producing the Mockingbird Pictures and Division Films production with Wicks Walker. Quartet Records has announced a new soundtrack release for the 1968 thriller The Thomas Crown Affair directed by Norman Jewison and starring Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway. The album features the world premiere release of the complete score composed by Michel Legrand (Summer of ’42, Yentl, Never Say Never Again), as well as the song The Windmills of Your Mind performed by Noel Harrison and co-written with Alan & Marilyn Bergman. Legrand received an Academy Award for the song and was also nominated for his score. Greg Kurstin is composing original music for the upcoming musical comedy drama Annie. The film is directed by Will Gluck (Easy A, Friends with Benefits) and stars Quvenzhané Wallis, Jamie Foxx, Cameron Diaz, Rose Byrne, Bobby Cannavale, Amanda Troya, Eden Duncan Smith, Nicolette Pierini and Zoe Colletti. Alec Puro has signed on to score the upcoming ABC comedy Manhattan Love Story. The show is created by Jeff Lowell (John Tucker Must Die, Spin City) and stars Analeigh Tipton, Jake McDorman, Nicolas Wright, Jade Catta-Preta, Chloe Wepper and Kurt Fuller. The series exposes the unfiltered internal monologues of a young couple embarking on a new relationship. Lowell is also executive producing the ABC Studios production with Peter Traugott (Samantha Who?), Robin Schwartz, Rachel Kaplan and Jon Liebman (Ringer). Hans Zimmer, Pharell Williams & Woodkid to Compose Music for JR’s Next Film Project

French artist JR has announced on Instagram (via Complex) that Hans Zimmer, Pharrell Williams and Woodkid will be composing the music for his next film project. No details of the movie have been announced yet. Woodkid has previously collaborated with JR on the ballet Les bosquets. Zimmer and Williams have most recently worked together on the soundtrack for The Amazing Spider-Man 2, as well as Williams’ record G I R L. JR has previously the 2010 French documentary Women Are Heroes and was also the subject of last year’s doc Inside Out, which featured a score by composers including Antonio Pinto and premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival. More details about JR’s latest movie will be posted on this page as they are announced.
