Christophe Beck has been tapped to score the upcoming drama Good Kill. The film is written and directed by Andrew Niccol and stars Ethan Hawke, January Jones, Zoe Kravitz, Jake Abel and Bruce Greenwood. The movie follows a troubled Air Force officer who is charged with directing drone strikes and enters a moral minefield as the rationale for targeting purported terrorists becomes ever more murky. Nicolas Chartier (The Hurt Locker, The Company You Keep), Zev Foreman and Mark Amin (Filth) are producing the Voltage Pictures production. David Shire’s ‘Rear Window’ Score to Be Released

MovieScore Media has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the 1998 television version of Rear Window directed by Jeff Bleckner and starring Christopher Reeve, Daryl Hannah, Robert Forster and Ritchie Coster. The album features the film’s original music written by Academy Award-winning composer David Shire (The Conversation, The Taking of Pelham 1-2-3, Zodiac, Return to Oz, Short Circuit). A soundtrack album will be released for the Danish horror romance When Animals Dream. The album features the film’s original music composed by Mikkel Hess. Also included are tracks by Christian Risgaard, Marie Fisker, MØ & more. The soundtrack will be released digitally on August 19, 2014 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The album features the original songs and score from the film written by the film’s director Jerome Sable and Eli Batalion. Aram Mandossian serves as the movie’s music producer. Kronos Records will release a soundtrack album for the British comedy drama Still Life. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award winner Rachel Portman (Emma, The Cider House Rules, Chocolat). The soundtrack will be released on August 28, 2014. Four new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:
Expected to top the weekend box office is the action adventure Teenage Ninja Mutant Turtles directed by Jonathan Liebesman and starring Megan Fox, Will Arnett, William Fichtner, as well as the voices of Alan Ritchson, Noel Fisher, Jeremy Howard and Pete Ploszek. The film’s original music is composed by Brian Tyler (Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World, Fast Five). Atlantic Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s music earlier this week. Michael Andrews is composing the music for the upcoming HBO original series Togetherness. The show is created and executive produced by Mark & Jay Duplass and stars Amanda Peet, Melanie Lynskey, Mark Duplass and Steve Zissis. The comedy follows two couples living under the same Los Angeles roof and who are struggling in their relationships while dealing with their individual problems. ‘Dinosaur 13’ Soundtrack Released

Lionsgate Records has released a soundtrack album for the documentary Dinosaur 13. The album features the film’s original music composed by Matt Morton. The soundtrack is now available to download on iTunes, where you can also listen to audio clips. Dinosaur 13 is directed by Todd Miller and follows paleontologist Peter Larson of South Dakota’s Black Hills Institute of Geological Research and his finding of a 65 million year-old tyrannosaurus rex fossil named “Sue.”.
