Photek is composing the music for the upcoming indie drama The Loner. The film is written and directed by Daniel Grove and stars Reza Sixo Safai, Helena Mattsson, Parviz Sayyad, Julian Sands, Laura Harring and Dominic Rains. The movie follows a reformed mobster who is haunted by memories of being a child soldier in Iran in the 1980s as he pursues the American Dream in Los Angeles. Seth Caplan (In Search of a Midnight Kiss, The Young Kieslowski) is producing the project with Safai.

Premiering tonight on Lifetime is the British mini-series And Then There Were None developed by Sarah Phelps based on Agatha Christie’s novel and starring Douglas Booth, Charles Dance, Anna Maxwell Martin, Sam Neill, Miranda Richardson, Toby Stephens, Maeve Dermody, Burn Gorman, Noah Taylor and Aidan Turner. Chris Alan Lee (Younger, The Jim Gaffigan Show) is composing the show’s original score and Jesse Novak (BoJack Horseman, The Mindy Project) has written the series’ theme. Mark Isham to Score ‘Duck Duck Goose’
Mark Isham has been hired to score the upcoming animated feature Duck Duck Goose. The film is directed by Christopher Jenkins (producer of Surf’s Up and Home) and features the voices of Jim Gaffigan, Stephen Fry, Zendaya, Carl Reiner, Jennifer Grey, Molly Shannon, Lance Lim,Greg Proops, Diedrich Bader and Rick Overton. The movie follows a goose who rescues two young ducklings from an eccentric but deadly cat. Jenkins has also written the screenplay with Rob Muir (Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue). Sandra Rabins & Penny Finkelman Cox (The Prince of Egypt) are producing the Original Force Animation production with Viola Chen.
Hollywood Records to Release ‘Captain America: Civil War’ Soundtrack
Hollywood Records will release the official soundtrack album for Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War. The album features the film’s original music composed by Henry Jackman (X-Men: First Class, Big Hero 6, Wreck-It-Ralph, Puss in Boots) who previously scored the studio’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier. ‘Underground’ Theme Song ‘Heaven’s Door’ by Alice Smith to Be Released
Madison Gate Records will release the main titles song from the WGN America original series Underground. The track, entitled Heaven’s Door is performed by Grammy nominated singer/songwriter Alice Smith. The song will be released digitally on March 16, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Underground is created by Misha Green & Joe Pokaski and stars Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Aldis Hodge, Christopher Meloni, Jessica de Gouw, Marc Blucas, Alano Miller, Adina Porter, Mykelti Williamson, Amirah Vann, Reed Diamond and Johnny Ray Gill. The show follows a group of slaves who aim to travel 600 miles to escape from a Georgia plantation .A full soundtrack album featuring music by the show’s composers Laura Karpman & Raphael Saadiq is in the works.

Four new movies are opening wide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the thriller 10 Cloverfield Lane directed by Dan Trachtenberg and starring John Goodman, Mary Elizabeth Winstead and John Gallagher Jr. The film’s original music is composed by Bear McCreary (Battlestar Galactica, The Walking Dead, Outlander, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.). ‘Baskin’ Soundtrack Details
Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the Turkish horror thriller Baskin. The album features the film’s original music composed by Ulas Pakkan. The soundtrack will be released digitally on March 25, 2016 and physically in April. Visit Amazon to pre-order the CD. Baskin is directed by Can Evrenol and stars Gorkem Kasal, Ergun Kuyucu, Mehmet Cerrahoglu, Sabahattin Yakut, Mehmet Fatih Dokgoz and Muharrem Bayrak. The movie follows five cops working the graveyard shift who get called to investigate a disturbance and wind up in a ruin that conceals the blood soaked den of a terrifying cult.
Simon Franglen Scoring Antoine Fuqua’s ‘The Magnificent Seven’
Simon Franglen is currently recording his music for the upcoming The Magnificent Seven remake. The score is based on themes that late composer James Horner wrote before he passed away last summer. The movie is directed by Antoine Fuqua (Training Day, King Arthur) and stars Denzel Washington, Chris Pratt, Ethan Hawke, Vincent D’Onofrio, Lee Byung-hun, Manuel Garcia Rulfo, Martin Sansmeier, Haley Bennett and Peter Sarsgaard. The film is based on the 1960 classic western of the same title, which was itself based on Akira Kurosawa’s Seven Samurai and follows seven gun men in the old west who gradually come together to help a poor village against savage thieves.
‘Everybody Wants Some!!’ Soundtrack Announced
Warner Bros. Records will release a soundtrack album for Richard Linklater’s comedy drama Everybody Wants Some!!. The album features the songs from the movie by artists including The Knack, Blondie, Van Halen, Dire Straits, The Cars, Devo, Hot Chocolate, Jermaine Jackson, S.O.S. Band, Pat Benatar, Stiff Little Fingers & more. The soundtrack will be released on April 8, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Everybody Wants Some!! is written and directed by Linklater and stars Blake Jenner, Tyler Hoechlin, Glen Powell, Wyatt Russell, Ryan Guzman, Juston Street, James Quinton Johnson, Temple Baker, Forest Vickery and Zoey Deutch.
‘Robinson Crusoe’ Soundtrack Released
Universal Music will release a soundtrack album for the animated feature Robinson Crusoe. The album features the film’s original music composed by Ramin Djawadi (Game of Thrones, Iron Man, Pacific Rim, Clash of the Titans, The Strain). Also included is the original song The World Belongs to Us by Marina Kaye. The soundtrack is now available digitally overseas. Visit the British Amazon store to listen to audio samples. Robinson Crusoe is directed by Ben Stassen and Vincent Kesteloot and tells Crusoe’s story from the point of view of his quirky companions, including his parrot Tuesday, who dreams of exploring the world.
