Milan Records has released a soundtrack album for the French comedy When Margaux Meets Margaux (La belle et la belle). The album features the film’s original music composed by Kasper Winding (The Riot Club, The Salvation, Moonwalkers). Also included are tracks by Chapelier Fou, N’to and Odezenne. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples and check out the track list. When Margaux Meets Margaux is written and directed by Sophie Fillières and stars Sandrine Kiberlain, Agathe Bonitzer and Melvil Poupaud. The movie centers on a woman in her mid-40s who meets another woman called Margaux, who is actually her younger self.

Three new movies are opening nationwide this holiday weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the action comedy Ride Along 2 directed by Tim Story and starring Ice Cube, Kevin Hart, Ken Jeong, Benjamin Bratt, Olivia Munn, Bruce McGill, Tika Sumpter and Sherri Shepherd. The film’s original music is composed by Christopher Lennertz (Agent Carter, Horrible Bosses, Identity Thief, Hop) who collaborate with such musicians as drummer Sheila E. and trumpeter Arturo Sandoval on the project. Also opening wide is the action drama 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of the Benghazi directed by Michael Bay and starring John Krasinski, Pablo Schreiber, Domicnic Fumusa, Max Martini, James Badge Dale, Toby Stephens, Matt Letscher and David Denman. Lorne Balfe (Terminatory Genisys, Home, Penguins of Madagascar) has composed the film’s original music. Hans Zimmer serves as the executive music producer. Two new movies are opening nationwide this week:
Expected to top the weekend box office is the caper comedy Focus written and directed by Glenn Ficarra & John Requa and starring Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Rodrigo Santoro and Gerald McRaney. The film’s original music is composed by Nick Urata (Paddington, Ruby Sparks) who previously scored the director’s I Love You Phillip Morris and Crazy, Stupid, Love. WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the songs from the film by Bruno Hovart, Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, Sofa Surfers, Iggy & The Stooges, Doris & Kelley, Barbara Lewis & more. Also opening wide is the horror thriller The Lazarus Effect directed by David Gelb, produced by Jason Blum and starring Mark Duplass, Olivia Wilde, Evan Peters, Donald Glover and Sarah Bolger. Sarah Schachner (Assassin’s Creed: Unity) has composed the film’s original music. Relativity Music Group has released a soundtrack album featuring Schachner’s score earlier this week. ‘The Riot Club’ Soundtrack Announced
Varese Sarabande will release a soundtrack album for Lone Scherfig’s drama The Riot Club. The album features the film’s original music composed by Kasper Winding (The Salvation). Also included is the song We’re Out There Somewhere performed by Graham Coxon of Blur. The soundtrack will be released digitally on November 17, 2014 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The Riot Club is directed by Scherfig (An Education, One Day) based on Laura Wase’s play and stars Sam Claflin, Max Irons, Douglas Booth, Jessica Brown Findlay and Holliday Grainger. The movie follows two young men who are inducted into the exclusive, debaucherous company of Oxford’s elite “Riot Club”.
Kasper Winding Scoring ‘The Salvation’ and Lone Scherfig’s ‘Posh’
Kasper Winding has recently recorded his score for the upcoming western The Salvation at Abbey Road Studios in London. The film is directed by Kristian Levring (Fear Me Not) and stars Mads Mikkelsen, Eva Green, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Jonathan Pryce, Eric Cantona, Mikael Persbrandt, Douglas Henshall and Michael Raymond-James. The movie is set in 1870s America where a settler kills his family’s murderer and unleashes the fury of a notorious gang leader. Levring has co-written the screenplay with Anders Thomas Jensen (In a Better World, Brothers). Sisse Graum Jørgensen (The Hunt, A Royal Affair) is producing the project for Zentropa Productions.
