William Ross has been hired to score the upcoming Hallmark Hall of Fame original movie Away & Back. The movie stars Jason Lee, Minka Kelly and Maggie Elizabeth Jones. The film is set on the Peterson Farm where a 10-year old girl and her dad discover a family of swans and follows a no-nonsense ornithologist who rushes in to “save” the majestic birds. Ross has previously scored In My Dreams and One Christmas Eve for Hallmark Hall of Fame Productions. Away and Back is set to premiere on January 25, 2015 on the Hallmark Channel. Stephen Endelman is scoring the new VH1 original drama Hindsight. The show is created by Emily Fox (New York Minute, Jane By Design) and stars Laura Ramsey, Sarah Goldberg, Craig Horner, Nick Clifford, Jessy Hodges, John Patrick Amedori and Drew Sidora. The movie follows a woman who on the day of her wedding in 2014, wakes up in 1995, faced with the opportunity to change the direction of her life from that point forward. ‘Broadchurch’ Soundtrack Details

Mercury Records will release a soundtrack album for the critically acclaimed British series Broadchurch. The album features selections from the show’s original music from the first two seasons composed by Olafur Arnalds (United, Gimme Shelter), including the new song So Far performed by Arnór Dan. The soundtrack will be released overseas on January 19, 2015. No word yet on a domestic release date. The label has previously released a soundtrack EP featuring music from the first season. Broadchurch written and created by Chris Chibnall (Torchwood) stars David Tennant, Olivia Colman, Vicky McClure, Jodie Whittaker, Andrew Buchan, Will Mellor and Arthur Darvill. Four new movies opened nationwide on Christmas Day:
Opening in most theaters is the drama Unbroken directed by Angelina Jolie and starring Jack O’Connell, Domhnall Gleeson, Miyavi, Garrett Hedlund and Finn Wittrock. The film’s original music is composed by Alexandre Desplat (The King’s Speech, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, The Queen, The Grand Budapest Hotel). Parlophone Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s music, as well as the original song Miracles performed by Coldplay. Also opening wide is the film adaptation of the Broadway musical Into the Woods directed by Rob Marshall and starring Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt, James Corden, Anna Kendrick, Chris Pine, Tracey Ullman, Christine Baranski and Johnny Depp. The movie features songs composed by Stephen Sondheim (Sweeney Todd). Walt Disney Records has released two different soundtrack albums for the film featuring the songs performed by the movie’s cast. Dean Wareham and Britta Phillips are reuniting with director Noah Baumbach to score the upcoming indie comedy Mistress America. The movie starring Greta Gerwig and Lola Kirke follows a lonely college freshman in New York who is rescued from her solitude by her soon-to-be stepsister, an adventurous gal about town who entangles her in alluringly mad schemes. Baumbach has also co-written the screenplay with Gerwig. Both are also producing the project with Scott Rudin (The Social Network, Moonrise Kingdom, Captain Phillips, No Country for Old Men), Lila Yacoub (While We’re Young) and Rodrigo Teixeira (Night Moves). ‘Wolf Hall’ Soundtrack Announced

Silva Screen Records will release a soundtrack album for the BBC mini-series Wolf Hall. The album features selections from the show’s original music composed and conducted by Debbie Wiseman (Wilde, Adventures of Arsene Lupin, Vampire Killers). The soundtrack will be released overseas on March 9, 2015 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Wolf Hall is based on the Booker Prize-winning novels of Hilary Manteland and stars Mark Rylance, Damian Lewis, Claire Foy, Jonathan Pryce, Mark Gatiss, Stephen Gardiner, Anton Lesser, Mathieu Amalric, Charity Wakefield, Jessica Raine, Bernard Hill, Richard Dillane, Thomas Brodie-Sangster and Natasha Little. Republic Records has released the first song from the soundtrack for the film adaptation of the bestselling novel Fifty Shades of Grey. The track is entitled Earned it and is performed by The Weeknd.
