The details of the soundtrack album for George Miller’s post-apocalyptic action movie Mad Max: Fury Road have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Tom Holkenborg aka Junkie XL (Divergent, 300: Rise of an Empire, Run All Night). The soundtrack will be released on May 12, 2015 by WaterTower Music and is now available for pre-order on Amazon and iTunes, where you can also listen to audio clips. Mychael Danna is reteaming with director Atom Egoyan on the upcoming thriller Remember. The film starring Christopher Plummer, Martin Landau, Dean Norris, Bruno Ganz, Jurgen Prochnow, Heinz Lieven and Henry Czerny is described as a “thriller in which the darkest chapter of modern history collides with a contemporary mission of revenge”. Benjamin August has written the screenplay. Ari Lantos (The Right Kind of Wrong, Stage Fright) and Robert Lantos (Eastern Promises, Being Julia, eXistenZ) are producing the project. GSPO to Perform Superhero Soundtracks in Concert

On Saturday, April 18, the Golden State Pops Orchestra (GSPO) will present Superhero Soundtracks. The concert will feature the music from numerous comic book movies, including Marvel’s Iron Man, Captain America, Thor and The Avengers, as well as the themes from Superman, The Dark Knight, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and X-Men. Special guests to appear at the event include Christopher Lennertz who recently scored the first season of Marvel’s Agent Carter TV series, Craig Safan (The Last Starfighter), Jason Livesay who composed additional music for X-Men: Days of Future Past, as well as surprise guests. ‘Diary of a Chambermaid’ and ‘3 Hearts’ Soundtrack Announced

Quartet Records has announced a soundtrack album for the French drama Diary of a Chambermaid (Journal d’une femme de chamber). The album features the film’s original music composed by Bruno Coulais (Coraline, The Crimson Rivers, The Chorus). The movie is directed by Benoît Jacquot (Farewell, My Queen) and stars Léa Seydoux and Vincent Lindon. The drama based on the novel by Octave Mirbeau about a scheming servant who works for a wealthy couple in France during the late 19th century premiered at this year’s Berlin Film Festival and will be released in France on April 1. Cohen Media Group has picked up domestic distribution rights. Quartet’s soundtrack also includes Coulais’ music for Jacquot’s drama 3 Hearts starring Benoît Poelvoorde, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Chiara Mastroianni and Catherine Deneuve. Jeff Russo to Score Spike TV’s ‘Tut’

Jeff Russo has been tapped to score the upcoming Spike TV original miniseries Tut. The limited series is directed by David Von Ancken (Seraphim Falls, Californication) and stars Avan Jogia, Ben Kingsley, Alexander Siddig, Nonso Anozi, Iddo Goldberg, Peter Gadiot, Sibylla Deen and Kylie Bunbury. The 6-parter tells the story of Tutankhamun, aka King Tut, the youngest Pharaoh to rule Ancient Egypt, whose famous golden sarcophagus has become one of the symbols of the ancient civilization. Joel S. Rice and Michael Prupas (The Pillars of the Earth, Being Human, The Kennedys) are executive producing the project for Muse Entertainment, alongside Michael Vickerman (Warriors of Virtue), Bradley Bredeweg, Peter Paige & Greg Gugliotta (The Fosters), Jeremy Elice and Angela Mancuso. Atli Örvarsson has been hired to score the upcoming thriller The Perfect Guy. The film is directed by David M. Rosenthal and stars Sanaa Lathan, Michael Ealy, Morris Chestnut, Charles S. Dutton, Rutina Wesley and Kathryn Morris. The movie follows a woman who meets an IT expert who appears to be the perfect guy, but soon discovers a violent side of him. Tommy Oliver, Darryl Taja, Nicole Rocklin (Middle of Nowhere) and Wendy Rhoads (The Haunting in Connecticut) are producing the Screen Gems production. Intrada Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack CD release for the 1974 drama The Dove directed by Charles Jarrott and starring Joseph Bottoms, Deborah Raffin and Gregory Peck . The album features the film’s original music composed and conducted by Academy Award winner John Barry (Dance With Wolves, Out of Africa, Goldfinger) who previously scored Jarrott’s Mary, Queen Of Scots. Included is the content of the original 1974 soundtrack LP, including the original song written by the composer, performed by Lyn Paul and with lyrics by Don Black, as well as several previously unreleased tracks.
