It was announced today that Grammy Award-nominated rapper/songwriter Nas is producing the soundtrack for the upcoming indie drama The Land. The film is written and directed by Steven Caple Jr. and stars Jorge Lendeborg Jr., Moises Arias, Rafi Gavron, Ezri Walker, Erykah Badu and Michael K. Williams. The movie follows four teenage boys from Cleveland, Ohio, pursuing a dream life of professional skateboarding and who get caught in the web of the local queenpin. Lizzie Friedman Greg Little & Karen Lauder (The Stanford Prison Experiment, Ride), Tyler Davidson (Take Shelter, The Kings of Summer), Blake Pickens and Stephen Love are producing the project. Varese Sarabande will release a new soundtrack album for the CBS drama Person of Interest. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s third and fourth season composed by Ramin Djawadi (Game of Thrones, Pacific Rim, Iron Man, Clash of the Titans, The Strain). The soundtrack will be released on January 29, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The label has previously released two soundtrack albums featuring the composer’s score for the series from the first and second season. Check back on this page for the full album details. This week, Benjamin Wallfisch is recording his music for the upcoming horror thriller Lights Out at The Bridge Recording Studios in Glendale, CA. The film is directed by David Sandberg and stars Teresa Palmer, Gabriel Bateman and Alexander DiPersia. The movie is based on the director’s short film of the same title and follows a young boy and his estranged sister who are confronted by an evil entity that only appears when the lights are out. The details of the soundtrack album for Alejandro G. Inarritu’s dramatic thriller The Revenant have been revealed.
