Stephen Schwartz accepting the ASCAP Founders Award
Last night, the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) held its annual Screen Music Awards at The Wiltern in Los Angeles. Stephen Schwartz was honored with the ASCAP Founders Award, which is given to pioneering ASCAP songwriters who have made exceptional contributions to music by inspiring and influencing their fellow music creators. The Academy Award-, Grammy Award- and Golden Globe-winning composer was presented the award by ASCAP president Paul Williams. Several of Schwartz’s collaborators congratulated the songwriter via a video message, including former DreamWorks Animation head Jeffrey Katzenberg, actor Victor Garber, producer Marc Platt and composers/lyricists Benj Pasek & Justin Paul. The full details of the soundtrack album for the romantic drama Everything, Everything have been revealed. The album features the songs from the movie by Ari Lennox, Khalid, Kehlani, Zedd & Alessia Cara, The Internet, RY X, Billie Eilish, Anderson .Paak & more, as well as Skylar Stecker’s How Did We, which is already available as a single. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, May 17 by Interscope Records and will be available to download on 
Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI) has published a number of video clips from the organization’s 2017 Film, TV & Visual Awards gala, which was held this past Wednesday at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills. Rob Simonsen is scoring the upcoming comedy Tully. The film is directed by Jason Reitman (Juno, Up in the Air, Thank You for Smoking) and stars Charlize Theron, Mackenzie Davis, Mark Duplass and Ron Livingston. The movie follows a mother of three who comes to form a unique bond with a thoughtful, surprising and sometimes challenging young nanny named Tully. Diablo Cody (Juno, Young Adult, United States of Tara) wrote the screenplay. Reitman is also producing the project with Helen Estabrook (Whiplash, Labor Day), Aaron L. Gilbert (The Birth of a Nation) for Bron Studios, Cody, Mason Novick (500 Days of Sumer), as well as Theron, A.J. Dix (The Butterfly Effect) & Beth Kono (Atomic Blonde) for Denver & Delilah. 
Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the thriller Wind River. The album features the film’s original music composed by Nick Cave & Warren Ellis (The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, The Proposition, Hell or High Water, Lawless). The soundtrack is set to be released on August 4, 2017 and is now available for pre-order on 
Nathan Halpern has recently composed the music for the drama The Rider. The film is written and directed by Chloé Zhao (Songs My Brothers Taught Me) and stars Brady Jandreau, Tim Jandreau, Lilly Jandreau, Lane Scott and Cat Clifford. The movie centers on a young cowboy who undertakes a search for new identity and tries to redefine what it means to be a man in the heartland of America after a tragic riding accident. Bert Hamelinck (The Diary of a Teenage Girl Sacha Ben Harroche and Mollye Asher (Fort Tilden, She’s Lost Control) are producing the project. 
WaterTower Music will release a new soundtrack album for the CW drama The 100. The album features selections from the original music of the show’s fourth season composed by Tree Adams (Californication, Perception, Lethal Weapon). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday 19, 2017 and is now available for pre-order on 
Bruce Hornsby has been tapped to score the upcoming Netflix original series She’s Gotta Have It. The show is created by Spike Lee (Do the Right Thing, Inside Man, 25th Hour) and stars DeWanda Wise, Lyriq Bent, Cleo Anthony, Anthony Ramos, Chyna Layne and Ilfenesh Hadera. The comedy based on Lee’s 1986 film revolves around a Brooklyn-based sexually liberated, free spirited painter/mixed media artist in her late 20s who struggles to define herself and divide her time among her friends, job and three lovers. 
Henry Jackman has taken over scoring duties on the upcoming fantasy adventure Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. The film is directed by Jake Kasdan (Bad Teacher, Orange County) and stars Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan, Jack Black, Bobby Cannavale and Nick Jonas. The movie follows four high school kids who are transported into an adventure video game and must survive from its challenges. Chris McKenna & Erik Sommers (Spider-Man: Homecoming, The Lego Batman Movie) and Scott Rosenberg (High Fidelity) & Jeff Pinkner (The Amazing Spider-Man 2) wrote the screenplay based on the book by Chris Van Allsburg. 
Tom Howe is scoring the upcoming biographical drama Professor Marston & the Wonder Women. The film is written and directed by Angela Robinson (True Blood, The L Word) and stars Luke Evans, Bella Heathcote, Rebecca Hall, Connie Britton and Oliver Platt. The movie tells the story of Harvard psychologist Dr. William Moulton Marston, the inventor of the lie detector and creator of Wonder Woman, who defends his feminist superhero against charges of “sexual perversity.” Amy Redford, Andrea Sperling (Like Crazy, Smashed, Breathe In) and Terry Leonard (Hounddog) are producing the project for Topple Productions and Boxspring Entertainment.
