Three new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:

the-accountantExpected to top the weekend box office is the thriller The Accountant directed by Gary O’Connor and starring Ben Affleck, Anna Kendrick, J.K. Simmons, Jon Bernthal, Jean Smart, Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Jeffrey Tambor and John Lithgow. The film’s original music is composed by Mark Isham (Crash, A River Runs Through It, Once Upon a Time, 42, American Crime). WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as a song by Sean Rowe. Click here for the full album details. kevin-hart-what-nowAlso opening nationwide is the concert movie Kevin Hart: What Now? directed by Leslie Small. Motown Records has released a soundtrack album featuring songs performed by Hart and guest artists such as Nick Jonas, Trey Songz, Joelle James, Akon,Think, Clinton Sparks, BJ The Chicago Kid & more, as well as a new track by Big Sean & 2 Chainz. ‘The Edge of Seventeen’ Soundtrack Details

The album features the songs from the film by artists including Santigold, Aimee Mann, The Struts, A$AP Ferg, Handsome Poets, Mike Snow, Cloves, Black Pistol Fire & more. Also included are two tracks from the film’s original score composed by Atli Orvarsson (Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, Vantage Point, The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, The Eagle). The soundtrack will be released on November 18, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The Edge of Seventeen is written and directed by Kelly Fremon Craig and stars Hailee Steinfeld, Woody Harrelson, Kyra Sedgwick, Haley Lu Richardson, Blake Jenner and Hayden Szeto. The movie produced by James L. Brooks revolves around an endearingly witty but self-absorbed teen whose life goes into a tailspin after her older brother starts dating her best friend. The album features the songs from the movie by artists including John Denver, Sonny & Cher, Dave Loggins, Spooner Oldham, The Guess Who, Tommy James, Olivia Newton-John & more. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. Christine is directed by Antonio Campos and stars Rebecca Hall, Michael C. Hall, Tracy Letts, Maria Dizzia, Timothy Simons, J. Smith-Cameron and Kim Shaw. ‘Bilal’ Soundtrack Announced

bilalLakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the animated feature Bilal: A New Breed of Hero!. The album features the film’s original music composed by Atli Orvarsson (Hansel  & Gretel: Witch Hunters, Vantage Point, Rams, The Edge of Seventeen, The Eagle) who recorded his orchestral score at Abbey Road Studios in London. The soundtrack will be released digitally on October 28, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Bilal is directed by Ayman Jamal and Khurram Alavi and features the voices Ian McShane, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Thomas Ian Nicholas and Michael Gross. The movie is inspired by the true story of Bilal Ibn Rabah, a freed slave of Ethiopian origin who fought for equality and justice.

The film is directed by John Curran (The Painted Veil, Tracks, Stone) and stars Jason Clarke, Kate Mara, Ed Helms, Bruce Dern, Jim Gaffigan and Olivia Thirlby. The movie revolves around the tragic car accident that took the life of Mary Jo Kopechne when Senator Ted Kennedy crashed his car off a one-lane bridge in the summer of 1969. Taylor Allen and Andrew Logan have written the Black List-honored screenplay. Mark Ciardi (Miracle, The Rookie, McFarland, USA) and Campbell McInnes are producing the project for Apex Entertainment. Caruso (Disturbia, I Am Number Four) and stars Vin Diesel in the title role, as well as Deepika Padukone, Ruby Rose, Nina Dobrev, Toni Collette, Donnie Yen, Kris Wu, Michael Bisping, Tony Jaa and Samuel L. Jackson. USA’s ‘Eyewitness’ to Feature Music by Keefus Ciancia

The show is created by Adi Hasak (Shades of Blue, 3 Days to Kill) based on the Norwegian crime thriller Øyevitne and stars Julianne Nicholson, Gil Bellows, Warren Christie, Tattiawna Jones, Matt Murray, James Paxton and Tyler Young. The anthology series’ first season follows two innocent teenage boys who bear witness to a triple-homicide while in the midst of a romantic encounter. Hasak is also executive producing the Universal Cable production with Jarl Emsell Larsen, Scott Peters (V, The 4400), Jackie de Crinis, as well as Catherine Hardwicke (Twilight, Thirteen, Lords of Dogtown) who also directed the first two episodes.
