Amazon Content Services will release a soundtrack for the new Amazon original series Patriot. The EP features the songs from the show performed by actor Michael Dorman. Also included is Vashti Bunyan’s Train Song as features in the pilot episode. The soundtrack will be released digitally on February 24, 2017 and is now available for pre-order here. Patriot is.created by Steve Conrad (The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, The Weather Man) and stars Dorman, alongside Terry O’Quinn, Michael Chernus, Kathleen Munroe, Aliette Opheim and Kurtwood Smith. The 7th Guild of Music Supervisors Awards were handed out on Thursday night at Ace Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles. Steven Gizicki received the top honor in the Best Music Supervision in Motion Picture – Motion Picture Over 25M for his work on Damien Chazelle’s La La Land. He also received an award for the song City of Stars from the musical in the Best Song/Recording Created for a Film category, which he shared with the film’s composer/songwriter Justin Hurwitz. The song previously won the Golden Globe and is also up for an Academy Award. Chris Douridas received the award in the Motion Picture Under 25M category for his music supervision on Matt Ross’ Captain Fantastic starring Viggo Mortensen. Howard Paar was honored in the Motion Picture Under 10M category for his music supervision on the indie dramedy 20th Century Women and Joel C. Jeff Rona is composing the score for the upcoming TNT original series Claws. The show is created by Eliot Laurence (Welcome to Me) and stars Niecy Nash, Carrie Preston, Harold Perrineau, Jenn Lyon, Judy Reyes, Jack Kesy, Karrueche Tran, Kevin Rankin and Jason Antoon. The comedy drama chronicles the rise of five diverse and treacherous manicurists working at the Nail Artisan of Manatee County salon in South Florida. Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the documentary I Am Not Your Negro. The album features the film’s original original music composed by Alexei Aigui (The Horde). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, Friday 17 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. I Am Not Your Negro is directed by Raoul Peck, narrated by Samuel L. Jackson and focuses on James Baldwin’s unfinished novel, Remember This House, which centers on the story of race in modern America. Ludwig Goransson has been tapped to score the upcoming thriller Death Wish. The film is directed by Eli Roth (Cabin Fever, Hostel, The Green Inferno) and stars Bruce Willis, Mike Epps, Vincent D’Onofrio, Dean Norris, Kimberly Elise, Elisabeth Shue and Camila Morrone. The movie is a remake of the 1974 feature starring Charles Bronson & and the 1972 novel of the same title by Brian Garfileld and follows a mild-mannered father who is transformed into a killing machine after his family is torn apart by a violent act. Dan Romer is reteaming with writer/director Joe Swanberg (Drinking Buddies, Happy Christmas) on the upcoming indie comedy Win It All. The film starring Jake Johnson, Aislinn Derbez, Joe Lo Truglio and Keegan-Michael Key revolves around a small time gambler who agrees to watch a duffel bag for an acquaintance who is heading to prison and discovers cash in the bag. Swanberg and Johnson also co-wrote the screenplay and are producing the project with Alex Orr (Easy). Christophe Beck has composed the music for Pixar Animation Studios’ upcoming animated short Lou. The film marks the directorial debut of Dave Mullins who worked as an animator on projects including Monsters Inc., Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Ratatouille, Up and Cars 2. The movie revolves around a lost-and-found box and the unseen monster within. Dana Murray is producing the short and Pete Docter (Up, Inside Out) & John Lasseter (Toy Story) serve as executive producers. The project marks Beck’s first project for Pixar.
