Milan Records has released the main titles theme for the new Starz original series American Gods. The track is written by the show’s composer Brian Reitzell (30 Days of Night, Hannibal, Lost in Translation, Stranger Than Fiction) and features vocals by Garbage lead singer Shirley Manson. The theme is now available to download on Amazon. The label has also released the song In the Pines by Reitzell & Mark Lanegan last week. ‘The Journey’ Soundtrack to Be Released

IM Global Music will release a soundtrack album for the drama The Journey. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award winner Stephen Warbeck (Shakespeare in Love, Quills, Billy Elliott, Proof, Captain Corelli’s Mandolin). Also included is the end title song Are You Getting Through by Glen Hansard. Air-Edel Records has announced a soundtrack album for the comedy Whisky Galore!. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee Patrick Doyle (Sense and Sensibility, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Thor, Brave, Cinderella, Rise of the Planet of the Apes). Also included is the original song Gairm na h-Oidche (Calling the Night) composed for the film and performed by Mairi MacInnes and featuring lyrics by Abigail Doyle. Nicholas Britell to Score Benjamin Millepied’s ‘Carmen’

It was announced today that Nicholas Britell will team up with with dancer and choreographer Benjamin Millepied to score the upcoming musical drama Carmen. The film is inspired by French composer Georges Bizet’s opera and centers on a woman who travels from the deserts of Mexico to Los Angeles in search of freedom. Mandy Hoffman has composed the original score for the new Amazon original series I Love Dick. The show is created by Jill Soloway (Transparent, Lars and the Real Girl) & Sarah Gubbins (Ten Aker Wood) and stars Kevin Bacon, Kathryn Hahn, Griffin Dunne and Roberta Colindrez. The comedy is based on Chris Kraus’ 1997 novel of the same name and is set in a colorful academic community in Marfa, Texas, where a struggling married couple and their mutual obsession with an off-putting but charismatic professor. Ilan Eshkeri is set to reunite with Ralph Fiennes on the actor’s upcoming drama, The White Crow. Fiennes will also star in the movie alongside Oleg Ivenko, Adele Exarchopoulos, Chulpan Khamatova, Sergei Polunin, Laurent Lafitte, Raphael Personnaz, Calypso Valois and Louis Hofmann. The movie tells the story of Rudolf Nureye, the legendary Soviet ballet dancer and choreographer and his defection to the West. David Hare (The Hours, The Reader) wrote the screenplay.
