Modernist Film & Water Willow Music have released a soundtrack album for the documentary Merchant Ivory. The album features the film’s original score composed by Ryan Homsey. Merchant Ivory is produced and directed by Stephen Soucy, in collaboration with AcademyAward-winning director/screenwriter James Ivory, and centers on the Merchant Ivory partnership, anchored by interviews with Ivory and 41 of their close collaborators (including Emma Thompson and Vanessa Redgrave) detailing and celebrating their experiences of being a part of the “wandering company” helmed by legendary producer Ismail Merchant that created classics such as Howard’s End, A Room with a View and The Remains of the Day. The film is directed by Clint Eastwood and stars Nicholas Hoult, Toni Collette, J.K. Simmons, Gabriel Basso, Chris Messina, Zoey Deutch, Leslie Bibb, Cedric Yarbrough, Kiefer Sutherland, Francesca Eastwood, Adrienne C. Moore and Amy Aquino. The film’s original music is composed by Danny Bensi & Saunder Jurriaans (Ozark, Enemy, The Outsider, Fear the Walking Dead, The Devil All the Time, The Staircase, The White Tiger, Boy Erased, Tokyo Vice). Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score today. Roque Banos (Don’t Breathe, In the Heart of the Sea, Evil Dead, Sexy Beast, The Machinist, The Commuter, The Girl in the Spider’s Web) has composed the film’s original music. ‘Silence of the North’ World Premiere Soundtrack Album Announced

Dragon’s Domain Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the Canadian 1981 drama Silence of the North directed by Allan King and starring Ellen Burstyn of author Olive Frederickson, Tom Skerritt and Gordon Pinsent. The album features the film’s original music composed by Allan Macmillan, as well as additional music by Jerrold Immel (credited as “music adapted and scored by”) (How the West Was Won, Megaforce, Matilda, Dallas, Programmed to Kill). The soundtrack is now available to order as a limited edition CD on the label’s official website, where you can also check out the track list, listen to audio samples and find out more about the release. Kerry Muzzey (Look & See: A Portrait of Wendell Berry, What Happens Next, BearCity) will release a soundtrack album for the documentary Studio One Forever. The album features the composer’s original score from the film and will be released digitally on October 4 and will be available to stream/download on all major digital music platforms. A first track (The Memory Theme) is already available to stream/download now and can be checked out after the jump. Studio One Forever is directed by Marc Saltarelli and centers on the LGBT nightclub in West Hollywood that was founded in the 1970.
