Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the horror sequel Black Phone 2 co-written and directed by Scott Derrickson and starring Mason Thames, Madeleine McGraw, Ethan Hawke, Demián Bichir, Miguel Mora, Jeremy Davies and Arianna Rivas. The film’s original music composed by the director’s son, Atticus Derrickson, who has made his feature scoring debut on the project. Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Also opening in theaters nationwide is the comedy Good Fortune written and directed by Aziz Ansari and starring Seth Rogen, Ansari himself, Keanu Reeves, Sandra Oh and Keke Palmer. Carter Burwell (Carol, Fargo, The Banshees of Inisherin, True Grit, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, The Blind Side, Twilight, Anomalisa) has composed the film’s original music. Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today.
