Sony Masterworks will release the official soundtrack album for the action adventure Tomb Raider. The album features the film’s original music composed by Tom Holkenborg (aka Junkie XL) (Mad Max: Fury Road, Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, Divergent, Black Mass, 300: Rise of an Empire). The soundtrack will be released on March 9, 2018. The CD version will be available for pre-order on Amazon within the next few days and the digital version can be orderer here. Tomb Raider is directed by Roar Uthaug and stars Alicia Vikander, Dominic West, Walton Goggins and Daniel Wu. The movie follows Lara Croft, the fiercely independent daughter of a missing adventurer, as she must push herself beyond her limits when she finds herself on the island where her father disappeared. John Debney is reteaming with director Tom Shadyac on the upcoming biographical drama Brian Banks. The film starring Aldis Hodge and Greg Kinnear tells the true story of Banks, an All-American high school football player committed to USC by his junior year whose life was upended in 2002 when he was falsely accused of rape. Doug Atchison (Akeelah and the Bee) wrote the screenplay. Amy Baer (Last Vegas) is producing the project with Shivani Rawat & Monica Levinson (Captain Fantastic, Trumbo). Sony Music will release a soundtrack album for the British comedy Walk Like a Panther. The album features the songs from the film by artists including Spandau Ballet, Lightning Seeds, Adam & The Ants and Billy Ocean through to Kasabian, Noel Gallagher, Miles Kane and Jake Bugg. Also included is a new track by Rick Astley, as well as his new version of Walk Like a Panther arranged by the movie’s composer Guy Chambers. The soundtrack will be released digitally on March 9 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A CD version will be coming out overseas and is available to order as an import here. La-La Land Records has announced the details of the new soundtrack album for the 1985 adventure comedy The Jewel of the Nile directed by Lewis Teague and starring Michael Douglas, Kathleen Turner and Danny DeVito. The album features the film’s original score composed and conducted by Jack Nitzsche (An Officer and a Gentleman, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Stand by Me, Starman), including more than 30 minutes of previously unreleased music. Also included is Billy Ocean’s hit song, When The Going Gets Tough, The Tough Get Going, as featured during the film’s end credits.The original 1985 soundtrack album featured two score suites in addition to the songs from the 20th Century Fox production.
