Amazon Content Services has released a soundtrack album for the Mexican Prime Video original series Unburied (Cometierra). The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Leonardo Heiblum (Maria Full of Grace, Prayers for the Stolen, The Black Demon, The Silence of Others, I Am Vanessa Guillen) & Emiliano González de León (A Fisherman’s Tale, A Stone’s Throw Away). Unburied is created by Daniel Burman, written by Mónica Herrera inspired by the novel of the same name by Dolores Reyes and stars Lilith Curiel, Max Peña, Iván Martínez, Gerardo Taracena, Roberto Aguilar and Harold Torres. The YA drama follows a teenager from a working-class neighborhood who discovers her supernatural abilities; when she eats dirt, she has visions that help her search for missing people, and embarks on a journey to control this new power.

Weekly Film Music Roundup (April 28, 2023)
Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the film adaptation of Judy Blume’s classic novel Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret written and directed by Kelly Fremon Craig and starring Abby Ryder Fortson, Rachel McAdams and Kathy Bates. The film’s original music is composed by Hans Zimmer (The Lion King, Dune, Gladiator, The Dark Knight, Interstellar, Inception). No soundtrack album has been announced yet. Also opening wide is the biographical drama Big George Foreman directed by George Tillman Jr. and starring Khris Davis, Jasmine Mathews, Sullivan Jones, John Magaro, Lawrence Gilliard Jr. and Sonja Sohn. Marcelo Zarvos (Fences, Emancipation, The Affair, Wonder, Enough Said, The Good Shepherd, Ray Donovan) has composed the film’s original music. Madison Gate Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Leonardo Heiblum & Jacobo Lieberman Scoring Adrian Grunberg’s ‘The Black Demon’
Leonardo Heiblum & Jacobo Lieberman (Maria Full of Grace, Prayers for the Stolen, The Silence of Others, I Am Vanessa Guillen) have teamed up to compose the original music for the upcoming shark thriller The Black Demon. The film is directed by Adrian Grunberg (Rambo: Last Blood, Get the Gringo) and stars Josh Lucas, Fernanda Urrejola, Venus Ariel, Julio Cesar Cedillo and Carlos Solórzano. The movie follows a family whose idyllic vacation turns into a nightmare when they encounter a ferocious megalodon shark that will stop at nothing to protect its territory.

Three new movies are opening nationwide this week:
Opening in most theaters is the sci-fi action adventure Alita: Battle Angel directed by Robert Rodriguez, produced by James Cameron and starring Rosa Salazar, Christoph Waltz, Jennifer Connelly, Mahershala Ali, Ed Skrein and Jackie Earle Haley. The film’s original music is composed by Tom Holkenborg (aka Junkie XL) (Mad Max: Fury Road, Deadpool, Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice).
