‘Mirai’ Soundtrack Details

Milan Records will release a soundtrack album for the Japanese animated feature Mirai. The album features the film’s original music composed by Masakatsu Takagi (Wolf Children, The Boy and the Beast). The soundtrack is already available in several markets and will be released in the U.S. later this month. Visit Amazon to pre-order the CD version, which is set to come out on November 30 and listen to a full track after the jump. Mirai is written and directed by Mamoru Hosoda and follows a young boy who encounters a magical garden which enables him to travel through time and meet his relatives from different eras. The Orchard will release a soundtrack album for the documentary Larger Than Life: The Kevyn Aucoin Story. The album features the film’s original music composed by Scott Doherty (Orange Is the New Black) & Will Golden (Cougar Town). The soundtrack will be released digitally on November 30, 2018 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Larger Than Life: The Kevyn Aucoin Story is directed by Tiffany Bartok and chronicles the meteoric rise to fame and the life, career, and mysterious death of makeup artist/pioneer of contour techniques Kevyn Aucoin in the 80’s and 90’s. Steve Jablonsky (Transformers, The Island, Deepwater Horizon, Ender’s Game, Skyscraper) has signed on to score the upcoming film adaptation of the comic book series Bloodshot. The film is directed by Dave Wilson and stars Vin Diesel, Guy Pearce, Eiza Gonzalez, Lamorne Morris, Toby Kebbell, Sam Heughan, Talulah Riley and Alex Hernandez. The movie based on the Valiant property created by Kevin Van Hook, Don Perlin & Bob Layton tells the story of a mortally wounded soldier resurrected with cutting-edge nanotechnology who is tasked with rounding up superpowered outcasts known as “harbingers.”  Read the rest of this entry »

Madison Gate Records has released a soundtrack album for the YouTube Premium original series Origin. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Edmund Butt (Life on Mars, Ashes to Ashes, Bancroft, Mistress). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio clips. Origin is created by Mika Watkins and stars Natalia Tena, Tom Felton, Sen Mitsuji, Nora Arnezeder, Fraser James, Philipp Christopher, Madalyn Horcher and Siobhán Cullen. Tim Jones (Chuck, Human Target, Cult, Office Uprising, Beast of Burden) has recently scored the upcoming thriller Backtrace. The film is directed by Brian A. Miller (Officer Down, Reprisal, Vice) and stars Sylvester Stallone, Ryan Guzman, Matthew Modine, Meadow Williams and Christopher McDonald. The movie revolves around the lone surviving thief of a violent armored car robbery as he is sprung from a high security facility and administered an experimental drug. Milan Records has released a soundtrack single for the Netflix original movie Outlaw King. The 3-track single features selections of the film’s music composed by Grey Dogs, including the end credits song Land O The Leal written in the late 1700s by Lady Caroline Nairne and arranged & performed by Grey Dogs feat. Kathryn Joseph. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Outlaw King is directed by David Mackenzie and stars Chris Pine, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Florence Pugh and Billy Howle. Deadline is reporting that Chance The Rapper is developing the original movie musical Hope. The hip-hop artist who recently contributed music to Illumination’s animated feature Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch is producing the MGM production with Pat Corcoran and Scott Bernstein (Straight Outta ComptonThe Turning). Grammy-winning songwriter and producer Nico Segal (aka Donnie Trumpet) will oversee the creation of the film’s original music. Carlito Rodriguez is writing the screenplay for the film, which follows a group of Chicago teenagers that band together to turn art into action within their community. ‘Creed II’ Soundtrack Details

Mike Will Made-It has announced the track list of the soundtrack album for Creed II. The album features songs by Lil Wayne, Kendrick Lamar & Pharrell Williams, Bon Iver, Nas & Rick Ross, Vince Staples and other artists. Creed II: The Album is expected to be released this Friday, November 16 by Interscope & Eardruma Records. Check back on this page for the download link. A first track from the album (Kill ‘Em With Success by Schoolboy Q, 2 Chainz and Eear) is already available to download here. A separate soundtrack featuring Ludwig Goransson’s original score from the movie is also in the works. Creed II is directed by Steven Caple Jr. and stars Michael B. Cristobal Tapia de Veer (Utopia, The Girl with All the Gifts, National Treasure, Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency) has been hired to score the upcoming supernatural horror thriller Grudge. The film is written and directed by Nicolas Pesce (Piercing, The Eyes of My Mother) and stars John Cho, Demián Bichir, Jacki Weaver, Betty Gilpin, Lin Shaye and Andrea Riseborough. The movie is a reboot of 2004’s The Grudge (scored by Christopher Young), which was based on the Japanese horror feature Ju-on: The Grudge and revolves around a house that is haunted by a vengeful ghost that curses those who enter it…with a violent death. Intrada Records has announced the world premiere CD release of the soundtrack album for the 1981 western The Legend of the Lone Ranger directed by William A. Fraker and starring Klinton Spilsbury, Michael Horse and Christopher Lloyd. The album features the film’s original music composed, conducted and produced by John Barry (Dances with Wolves, Out of Africa, Goldfinger, The Man with the Golden Gun), including the song The Man In The Mask performed by Merle Haggard (and featuring lyrics by Dean Pitchford) and harmonica soloist Paul Jones.
