Five new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:

Opening in mos theater is the disaster movie Geostorm directed by Dean Devlin and starring Gerard Butler, Jim Sturgess, Abbie Cornish, Daniel Wu, Ed Harris and Andy Garcia. The album features the film’s original music is composed by Lorne Balfe (The LEGO Batman Movie, Genius, Home, Terminator Genisys, Megamind). Also opening wide is the action drama Only the Brave directed by Joseph Kosinski and starring Josh Brolin, Miles Teller, Jeff Bridges, James Badge Dale, Taylor Kitsch & Jennifer Connelly. Joseph Trapanese (Oblivion, InsurgentStraight Outta Compton, The Raid: Redemption) has composed he film’s original score. Varese Sarabande has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score (click here for more details). Sumerian Records has released a soundtrack album for the thriller American Satan. The album features the songs from the film performed by The Relentless. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio clips. American Satan is co-written and directed by Ash Avildsen and stars Andy Black, John Bradley, Mark Boone Jr, BooBoo Stewart, Malcolm McDowell, Ben Bruce, Bill Goldberg, Bill Duke, Denise Richards, Olivia Culpo, Jesse Sullivan and Drake Bell. Mindy Jones will be releasing her original song Run Down to the River from the documentary Company Town. The track is written and performed by the singer/songwriter and is produced by Moby. The song will be released as a digital single on December 7, 2017 and is now available for pre-order on AmazonCompany Town is directed by Natalie Kottke & Erica Sardarian and takes a look inside one hidden American town, where the company rules and the government’s negligence pushes them to stand up and fight for justice. Quartet Records has announced a soundtrack album for he psychological thriller Marrowbone. The album features the film’s original music composed by Fernando Velazquez (The Impossible, The OrphanageMama, A Monster Calls, Hercules). The soundtrack is now available to order on the label’s website, where you can also check out audio samples. A digital version is available for pre-order on Amazon. Marrowbone is directed by Sergio G. Sánchez and stars George MacKay, Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlie Heaton, Mia Goth and Matthew Stagg. The JA Bayona-produced movie follows four siblings who seek refuge in an old home after the death of their mother, only to discover that the house has another, more sinister, inhabitant. The full details of soundtrack album for Luca Guadagnino’s Call Me By Your Name have been revealed. The album features the film’s original songs written and performed by singer/songwriter Sufjan Stevens, as well as tracks by Ryuichi Sakamoto (The RevenantThe Last Emperor), John Adams, Bandolero, Giorgio Moroder & Joe Esposito, Frank Glazer & more. The soundtrack will be released digitally on November 3, 2017 (click here to download) by Madison Gate Records and physically on November 17 by Sony Classical and is now available to order as an import on Amazon. A digital version is also expected to come out within the next few weeks. Call Me By Your Name is written by James Ivory, directed by Guadagnino and stars Armie Hammer, Timothée Chalamet, Michael Stuhlbarg, Amira Casar and Esther Garrel. Christopher Tin is set to compose the score for the upcoming indie drama Confetti. He is writing an original song for the film written and directed by Ann Hu (Shadow Magic) and starring Zhu Zhu, Amy Irving, Helen Slater and Harmonie Zhu. The movie follow a young woman trapped in a formulated society who tries everything to “normalize” her daughter’s hidden talent. The album features music from and inspired by the film, including the original song Hold the Light by Dierks Bentley feat. S. Carey, which is already available as a digital single, as well as songs by Jeff Bridges & the Rusty Pilots, Pearl Jam, Kip Moore, Austin Hanks, Steve Earle, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, The Raconteurs & more.
