The album features the film’s original music composed by Kenji Kawai (Ghost in the Shell, Ip Man, Ring, Dark Water). Two new movies are opening in theaters nationwide this week:
Opening in most theaters is the murder mystery Knives Out written and directed by Rian Johnson and starring Daniel Craig, Chris Evans, Ana de Armas, Jamie Lee Curtis, Toni Collette, Don Johnson, Michael Shannon, Katherine Langford and Christopher Plummer. The film’s original music is composed by Nathan Johnson (Brick, The Brothers Bloom, Don Jon, Looper). Cut Narrative has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score. Also opening nationwide is the drama Queen & Slim directed by Melina Matsoukas, written by Lena Waithe and starring Daniel Kaluuya and Jodie Turner-Smith. Devonté Hynes (aka Blood Orange) (Palo Alto) has composed the film’s original score. Disaster Movie Soundtrack Collection Announced

La-La Land Records has announced the Disaster Movie Soundtrack Collection featuring three scores composed and conducted by John Williams (Star Wars, Jaws, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Jurassic Park, Schindler’s List). The 4-CD set features the composer’s scores for 1972’s The Poseidon Adventure directed by Ronald Neame, 1974’s The Towering Inferno directed by John Guillermin and 1974’s Earthquake directed by Mark Robson and includes previously unreleased music for the latter two titles.
