The show is created by Dennis Kelly and stars Jude Law, Naomie Harris, Katherine Waterston, Emily Watson and Paddy Considine. The drama consists of three interconnected stories, including the tale of a man who is drawn to a mysterious Island off the British coast where he encounters a group of islanders set on preserving their traditions at any cost. The show is created by John Logan (Gladiator, Hugo, The Aviator) and stars Daniel Zovatto, Natalie Dormer, Kerry Bishé, Amy Madigan, Brent Spiner, Lin Shaye, Rory Kinnear, Piper Perabo, Adam Rodriguez, Thomas Kretschmann, Lorenza Izzo, Michael Gladis, Dominic Sherwood, Ethan Peck and Nathan Lane. The spin-off to Penny Dreadful (which aired between 2014 and 2016) is set in 1938 Los Angeles after a grisly murder shocks the city and follows a detective and his partner as they become embroiled in an epic story that reflects the rich history of LA. Logan is also executive producing the project with Michael Aguilar (The Crazies, Kidding). Plaza Mayor Company will release a soundtrack album for the Portuguese/French/Brazilian drama Mosquito. The album features the film’s original music composed by Justin Melland (Conversations with a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes, Dark Net, The Force). The soundtrack will be released digitally on March 20, 2020 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Mosquito is directed by João Nuno Pinto and stars João Nunes Monteiro, João Lagarto, Filipe Duarte, Sebastian Jehkul, Miguel Borges, António Nipita and Josefina Massango. The film is directed by Andrew Levitas (Lullaby) and stars Johnny Depp, Hiroyuki Sanada, Minami, Bill Nighy, Jun Kunimura, Ryo Kase, Tadanobu Asano, Akiko Iwase and Katherine Jenkins. The movie centers on celebrated war photographer W. Eugene Smith has become a recluse as he travels back to Japan to investigate the poisoning of the inhabitants of a fishing village called Minamata. Premiering in the U.S. today is the mini-series War of the Worlds created by Howard Overman based on H.G. Wells’ novel of the same name and starring Gabriel Byrne, Elizabeth McGovern, Léa Drucker, Adel Bencherif, Emilie de Preissac, Natasha Little, Daisy Edgar-Jones and Ty Tennant. The show’s original music is composed by David Martijn (De Dag, The Twelve). The 8-parter, which follows a group of astronomers detect a transmission from another galaxy, premiered in Europe last fall, is making its U.S. debut on Epix. Polish composer and violinist Stefan Wesolowski has announced this week that he will be scoring the upcoming drama Wolf. The film is written and directed by Nathalie Biancheri (Nocturnal) and stars George MacKay and Lily-Rose Depp. The movie is set in a world in which people believe they are an animal trapped in a human body and follows a man who believes he is a wolf trapped in a human body.
