GDM Music has released a soundtrack album for the Gomorrah prequel movie The Immortal (L’immortale). The album features the film’s original music composed by Mokadelic (As God Commands, Sanctuary) who previously scored all episodes of the Gomorrah TV series. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon Music, where you can also check out audio clips. The Immortal is directed by Marco D’Amore who also wrote the screenplay with Leonardo Fasoli, Maddalena Ravagli and Francesco Ghiaccio and stars in the movie alongside Giuseppe Aiello, Giovanni Vastarella, Salvatore D’Onofrio, Aleksei Guskov, Marianna Robustelli, Martina Attanasio and Gennaro di Colandrea. Academy Award-nominated composer John Powell (How to Train Your Dragon, The Bourne Identity, Solo: A Star Wars Story, Happy Feet) will be the guest of honor at the 11th Annual Fans of Film Music event, which will take place at 10:00 am on Saturday, April 11, 2020 at Vitello’s Restaurant in Los Angeles, CA. Powell who recently scored Chris Sanders’ The Call of the Wild (opening in theaters this weekend) will be participating in a panel discussion, followed by an autograph session. The event is co-hosted with the Academy of Scoring Arts. Stanley Clarke to Score Hulu’s ‘Woke’

Stanley Clarke (Boyz n the Hood, Passenger 57, The Transporter, Undercover Brother, Romeo Must Die) has been hired to score the upcoming Hulu original series Woke. The show is created by cartoonist Keith Knight & Marshall Todd (Barbershop) and stars Lamorne Morris, Blake Anderson, T. Murph and Lara Goldie. The live-action and animation hybrid is inspired by the life and art of Knight and follows an African-American cartoonist living in San Francisco, who’s finally on the cusp of mainstream success when an unexpected incident changes everything. Varese Sarabande will release a new soundtrack album for Damien Chazelle’s Academy Award-nominated 2014 drama Whiplash starring Miles Teller, J. K. Simmons, Paul Reiser and Melissa Benoist. The album features the film’s original score composed by Justin Hurwitz (La La Land, First Man), original jazz songs written by Tim Simonec and more, including 12 previously unreleased tracks and new remixes  The 2-CD Deluxe Edition soundtrack will be released digitally and physically (both on CD and on vinyl) on March 27. Mark Snow (The X-Files, Millennium, Smallville) has composed the original score for the upcoming X-Men spinoff The New Mutants. The film is directed by Josh Boone (The Fault in Our Stars) and stars Maisie Williams, Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlie Heaton, Alice Braga, Blu Hunt and Henry Zaga. The horror thriller is set in an isolated hospital where a group of young mutants is being held for psychiatric monitoring. When strange occurrences begin to take place, both their new mutant abilities and their friendships will be tested as they battle to try and make it out alive. Boone also co-wrote the screenplay with Knate Lee (Kidnap). Simon Kinberg (The Martian, Cinderella), Karen Rosenfelt (The Twilight Saga) and Lauren Shuler Donner (Logan, Deadpool) are producing the project. Read the rest of this entry »

Decca Records has announced the official soundtrack album for the 25th James Bond film No Time to Die. The album features the film’s original music composed by Hans Zimmer (The Dark Knight, Gladiator, The Lion King, Pirates of the Caribbean, Inception). Johnny Marr joined Zimmer in scoring the film and as featured guitarist, with additional music by composer and score producer Steve Mazzaro. On June 27, the Bowl will host a live to projection concert for Nicholas Hoopers score for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Justin Freer will conduct the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra. Composer Daniel Hart is reuniting with director David Lowery on the upcoming fantasy adventure The Green Knight. The film is written and directed by Lowery and stars Dev Patel, Alicia Vikander, Joel Edgerton, Sarita Choudhury, Sean Harris, Kate Dickie, Barry Keoghan and Ralph Ineson. The movie is based on the timeless Arthurian legend and tells the story of Sir Gawain, King Arthur’s reckless and headstrong nephew, who embarks on a daring quest to confront the eponymous Green Knight, a gigantic emerald-skinned stranger and tester of men. The director is also producing the project with Toby Halbrooks & James M. Johnston (Listen Up Philip, Never Goin’ Back) for their Sailor Bear production company, alongside Tim Headington (Hugo, The Tourist) and Theresa Steele Page (Miss Juneteenth) for Ley Line Entertainment. ‘Military Wives’ Soundtrack Details

Decca Records will release a soundtrack album for the musical comedy drama Military Wives. The album features the songs from and inspired by the movie performed by the film’s cast and the Military Wives Choirs, including the hit songs Wherever You Are and Sing. The soundtrack will be released on March 6, 2020 (click here to stream and download). A CD version is now available for pre-order as an import on Amazon. Military Wives is directed by Peter Cattaneo (The Full Monty) and stars Kristin Scott Thomas, Sharon Horgan and Jason Flemyng. The movie follows centers on a group of women from different backgrounds whose partners are away serving in Afghanistan who come together to form the very first military wives choir and quickly find themselves at the center of a media sensation and global movement.
