Jeremy Turner (Five Came Back, Come As You Are, Family, Killer Inside: The Mind of Aaron Hernandez) is the composer of the new Netflix docu-series Immigration Nation. The show is directed by Shaul Schwarz & Christina Clusiau and offers an unprecedented look at the processes, pitfalls and pain of immigration in America. The 6-parter was shot over the course of three years and captures the daily workings of Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, activists, lawmakers, attorneys and a wide swath of undocumented immigrants, from desperate recent arrivals to longtime residents to deported U.S. military combat veterans. The full details of the soundtrack album for Rod Lurie’s war drama The Outpost have been revealed. The album features the film’s original score composed by Larry Groupé (The Contender, Commander-in-Chief, Resurrecting the Champ, Nothing But the Truth, Straw Dogs). Also included is the original song Everybody Cries written by Groupé & Lurie and performed by Rita Wilson. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, July 28 by Millennium Media and will be available to stream/download here. La-La Land Records will release a CD version, which will be available to order on the label’s website on August 4. The Outpost is directed by Lurie and stars Scott Eastwood, Orlando Bloom, Caleb Landry Jones, Kwame Patterson and Cory Hardrict. The movie follows a team of U.S. soldiers stationed at the deadliest outpost in Afghanistan as they are relentlessly attacked by an overwhelming force of Taliban insurgents. Quartet Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the 2001 action movie The Order directed by Sheldon Lettich and starring Jean-Claude van Damme, Charlton Heston, Sofia Milos, Brian Thompson and Vernon Dobtcheff. The album features the film’s original music composed by Pino Donaggio (Dressed to Kill, Carrie, Body Double, The Howling, Blow Out) and performed by The Bulgarian Symphony Orchestra & Chorus conducted by Natale Massara. The limited edition CD is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out audio samples and find out more about the release. Searchlight Pictures announced today that the upcoming drama Nomadland will feature compositions by Ludovico Einaudi (The Intouchables, This Is England, Samba). The film is written and directed by Chloé Zhao (The Rider, The Eternals) and stars Frances McDormand and David Strathairn, as well as real nomads Linda May, Swankie and Bob Wells. The is based on journalist Jessica Bruder’s 2017 non-fiction book Nomadland: Surviving America in the Twenty-First Century and follows a woman who, after the economic collapse of a company town in rural Nevada, packs her van and sets off on the road exploring a life outside of conventional society as a modern-day nomad. WaterTower Music has released a new soundtrack EP for the HBO original series Perry Mason. The 6-track EP features the original score from the sixth episode of the show’s first season composed by Terence Blanchard (BlacKkKlansman, Inside Man, Malcolm X, Da 5 Bloods, 25th Hour).
