Long Distance has released a soundtrack album for the French family adventure The Desert Child (L’enfant du désert). The album features the film’s original music composed by Armand Amar (The Concert, The Wolf and the Lion,Autumn and the Black Jaguar, The Source, Mia and the White Lion, A Bag of Marbles, Belle & Sebastian, The History of Love). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon (and any other major digital music services), where you can also check out the track list. Also listen to the composer’s title tracks after the jump. The Desert Child is directed by Gilles de Maistre and stars Nahel Tran, Nahil Bouazzaoui, Zayn Sekkat and Kev Adams. The movie follows a 14 year-old girl who publishes a story about a tribal child raised by ostriches that her grandfather has been telling her since she was little and – after a local community hears about her book – gets invited to the Sahara, where she meets a Nomad girl of her own age.

Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the horror movie Final Destination: Bloodlines directed by Zach Lipovsky & Adam B. Stein and starring Kaitlyn Santa Juana, Teo Briones, Brec Bassinger, Owen Patrick Joyner, Anna Lore, Richard Harmon and Tony Todd. The film’s original music is composed by Tim Wynn (Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3, Freaks, Marvel’s Midnight Suns, XCOM 2, Warhawk, Mech-X4, The Starving Games). Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Also opening wide is the musical psychological thriller Hurry Up Tomorrow co-written and directed by Trey Edward Shults and starring Abel Tesfaye (aka The Weeknd), Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan. Tesfaye has also co-scored the movie with Daniel Lopatin (aka Oneohtrix Point Never) (Uncut Gems, Good Time, The Mountain, The Bling Ring) have composed the film’s original score. No word on a score release. ‘Moon the Panda’ Soundtrack Album Released
Gaumont has released a soundtrack album for the French family adventure Moon the Panda (Moon le panda). The album features the film’s original music composed by Armand Amar (The Concert, Mia and the White Lion, Autumn and the Black Jaguar, The Wolf and the Lion, The Source, A Bag of Marbles, The History of Love, Belle & Sebastian), as well as additional music by Anne-Sophie Versnaeyen, Mathieu Coupat & Camille Després. Moon the Panda is directed by Gilles De Maistre and stars Noé Liu Martane, Alexandra Lamy, Yé Liu, Sylvia Chang and Nina Liu Martane. The movie is set in China and tells the story of 12-year-old boy who is sent with his sister to stay with their grandmother in the Sichuan mountains, where he makes an astonishing encounter and forms a secret bond with the titular panda cub.

Armand Amar (The Concert, The Source, Mia and the White Lion, Days of Glory, The Wolf and the Lion, A Bag of Marbles, Belle & Sebastian) has been hired to score the upcoming French drama Last Breath (Le dernier souffle). The film is directed by Costa-Gavras (Z, Missing, Mad City) and stars Denis Podalydès, Kad Merad, Marilyne Canto, Charlotte Rampling, Karin Viard, Ángela Molina, Hiam Abbass and Agathe Bonitzer. The movie is based on the book of the same title by Régis Debray & Claude Grange and follows a doctor and a renowned writer as they discuss life and death.
Armand Amar Scoring Abderrahmane Sissako’s ‘Black Tea’
Armand Amar (The Concert, Mia and the White Lion, Days of Glory, A Bag of Marbles, The Wolf and the Lion, The Source, Belle & Sebastian) has recently scored the upcoming romantic drama Black Tea. The film is directed by Abderrahmane Sissako (Timbuktu) and stars Nina Mélo, Chang Han, Wu Ke-Xi and Michael Chang. The movie follows a young Ivorian woman in her early thirties who – after saying “no” on her wedding day – emigrates to China, when she works in a tea export shop and falls in love with a 45-year-old Chinese man.

Living With Wolves is directed by Jean-Michel Bertrand (who previously collaborated with Amar on 2016’s The Valley of the Wolves and 2020’s Wolf Walk) and follows the filmmaker as he is living alongside a community of wolves in European forests and offers a lesson in how to exist alongside these mysterious yet dangerous animals.

The film’s original score is composed by Thomas Wander & Harald Kloser (The Day After Tomorrow, 2012, Midway, White House Down, Independence Day: Resurgence). Atlantic Screen Music/Filmtrax has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score, as well as the original song One More Time by Luka Kloser. Vicky and Her Mistery is directed by Denis Imbert and stars Vincent Elbaz, Shanna Keil, Marie Gillain, Éric Elmosnino and Tchéky Karyo. The movie tells the story of a widowed father who moves to the mountains with his daughter who is heartbroken by her mother’s death and has stopped talking, when she discovers a puppy and decides to secretly keep it, not realizing it’s a wolf cub.
