Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the horror movie Final Destination: Bloodlines directed by Zach Lipovsky & Adam B. Stein and starring Kaitlyn Santa Juana, Teo Briones, Brec Bassinger, Owen Patrick Joyner, Anna Lore, Richard Harmon and Tony Todd.  The film’s original music is composed by Tim Wynn (Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3, Freaks, Marvel’s Midnight Suns, XCOM 2, Warhawk, Mech-X4, The Starving Games). Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Also opening wide is the musical psychological thriller Hurry Up Tomorrow co-written and directed by Trey Edward Shults and starring Abel Tesfaye (aka The Weeknd), Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan. Tesfaye has also co-scored the movie with Daniel Lopatin (aka Oneohtrix Point Never) (Uncut GemsGood Time, The Mountain, The Bling Ring) have composed the film’s original score. No word on a score release. XO & Republic Records have released The Weeknd’s companion album of the same title this past January (visit Amazon or any other major digital music services to stream/download). Opening in select U.S. today theaters today is the comedy Sister Midnight written and directed by Karan Kandhari and starring Radhika Apte, Ashok Pathak, Chhaya Kadaam and Dev Raaz. The film’s original music is composed by Paul Banks (of the rock band Interpol). Partisan Records & Mushroom Music have released a digital single featuring cover versions of  The Stooges’ & Iggy Pop’s Gimme Danger & Iggy Pop’s Sister Midnight from the movie this week. Opening in Los Angeles today following a release in New York last weekend and before expanding to more markets in the coming weeks is the romantic drama Black Tea co-written and directed by Abderrahmane Sissako and starring Nina Mélo, Chang Han, Wu Ke-Xi and Michael Chang. Armand Amar (The ConcertMia and the White Lion, The Wolf and the Lion, A Bag of MarblesThe Source, Days of Glory, Belle & Sebastian) has composed the film’s original music. No word on a soundtrack release. Opening in select theaters and on VOD today is the horror comedy A Breed Apart directed by Griff Furst & Nathan Furst and starring Grace Caroline Currey, Virginia Gardner, Hayden Panettiere, Riele Downs, Zak Steiner, Page Kennedy and Troy Gentile. The film’s original music is composed by Britlin Furst (Bad StepmotherStolen in Plain Sight). Drastic Measures has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score this past Tuesday. Opening in select theaters while also premiering on Apple TV+ today is the documentary Deaf President Now! directed by Nyle DiMarco & Davis Guggenheim about the eight days of historic protests held at Gallaudet University in 1988, after a hearing president was appointed over several very qualified Deaf candidates. Marco Beltrami (3:10 to Yuma, Scream, A Quiet PlaceLogan, The Wolverine, World War Z) and Buck Sanders (Ford v. Ferrari, The Hurt LockerWarm Bodies) have composed the film’s original music.
