Gaumont has released a soundtrack album for the French thriller Rogue City (Bronx). The album features the film’s original music is composed by Erwann Kermorvant (36th Precint, A Gang Story, Carbon, A Ticket to Space, The Clearstream Affair). Rogue City is written and directed by Olivier Marchal and stars Lannick Gautry, Stanislas Merhar, Kaaris, David Belle, Jean Reno, Claudia Cardinale, Gérard Lanvin, Patrick Catalifo, Moussa Maaskri and Catherine Marchal. The thriller follows a loyal cop caught in the crosshairs of police corruption and Marseille’s warring gangs who must protect his squad by taking matters into his own hands. The only movie opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the horror thriller Come Play written and directed by Jacob Chase (based on his short story of the same title) and starring Azhy Robertson, Gillian Jacobs and John Gallagher Jr.. The film’s original music is composed by Roque Banos (Don’t Breathe, In the Heart of the Sea, Evil Dead, The Girl in the Spider’s Web, The Machinist, Sexy Beast). A soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score is in the works. Opening in select theaters and on VOD today is the horror thriller Spell directed by Mark Tonderai and starring Omari Hardwick, Loretta Devine, John Beasley and Lorraine Burroughs. Ben Onono (Safe, Paranoid, Half of a Yellow Son) has composed the film’s original music. Paramount Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Quartet Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1990 horror thriller Jacob’s Ladder directed by Adrian Lyne and starring Tim Robbins, Elizabeth Peña and Danny Aiello. The album features the expanded and remastered original score from the movie composed and conducted by Academy Award winner Maurice Jarre (Lawrence of Arabia, Ghost, Witness, Gorillas in the Mist). The 2-CD set, which is limited to 2,000 copies, features a remastered version of the original 1990 soundtrack album (released by Varese Sarabande) on the first disc, and the complete score, as well as unused cues on the second disc. Warner Records will release a soundtrack album for the romantic comedy Happiest Season. The album music from and inspired by the movie, including Tegan & Sara’s original song Make You Mine This Season (to be released as a digital single tomorrow), new songs by Anne-Marie, Carlie Hanson, Bebe Rexha, Shea Diamond, Brandy Clark, as well as Sia’s Candy Cane Lane & more. The full soundtrack will be released on November 6 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and other digital music stores. A CD version will be coming out on December 18 and is available to order here. Happiest Season is co-written and directed by Clea DuVall and stars Kristen Stewart, Mackenzie Davis, Alison Brie, Daniel Levy, Aubrey Plaza, Victor Garber and Mary Steenburgen.
