Columbia Records will release a new soundtrack album for the FX original series Sons of Anarchy. Sons of Anarchy: Vol. 4 features Ed Sheeran’s song Make It Rain, as well as collaborations between the show’s house band The Forest Rangers and artists including Billy Valentine, Amos Lee, The White Buffalo, Franky Perez, Joshua James, Audra Mae & more. The soundtrack will be released on February 24, 2015 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The label has previously released three different soundtracks for the hit series: Vol. 1, Vol. 2 and Vol. 3. Sons of Anarchy created by Kurt Sutter and starring Charlie Hunnam, Ron Perlman and Katey Sagal just finished its run with the final episode of the seventh season last night.

Tony Morales & Edward Rogers Scoring Netflix’s ‘Bloodline’
Tony Morales and Edward Rogers are composing the music for the upcoming Netflix original series Bloodline. The show is created by Todd A. Kessler, Daniel Zelman & Glenn Kessler (Damages) and stars Kyle Chandler, Ben Mendelsohn, Linda Cardellini, Sam Shepard, Sissy Spacek, Norbert Leo Butz, Jamie McShane, Jacinda Barrett and Enrique Murcian. The dramatic thriller follows a close-knit family of four adult siblings whose secrets and scars are revealed when their black sheep brother returns home. The Kessler brothers and Zelman are also producing the Sony Pictures Television.
First Song from ABC’s ‘Galavant’ Released
Hollywood Records has released the first song from the upcoming ABC musical comedy Galavant. The track is written by Academy Award winner Alan Menken (The Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, Enchanted) and Glenn Slater and performed by the show’s cast. Soundtrack for Amazon’s ‘Transparent’ Released
A soundtrack album for the Amazon Studios series Transparent has been released. The album features the songs from the show by artists including Bob Dylan, Edward Sharpe & The Magnetics, Leonard Cohen, Jim Groce, Deee-Lite, Chaka Khan, The Kills, Neil Young & more. Also includsd are two tracks from the show’s composer Dustin O’Halloran (Like Crazy). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio clips. Transparent is created by Jill Soloway (Afternoon Delight, Six Feet Under) and stars Gaby Hoffmann, Jay Duplass, Amy Landecker, Judith Light and Jeffrey Tambor. The comedy centers around an LA family with serious boundary issues who have their past and future unravel when a dramatic admission causes everyone’s secrets to spill out.
‘1864’ Soundtrack Details
MovieScore Media will release a soundtrack album for the Danish TV series 1864. The album features selections from the show’s original music composed by Marco Beltrami (Scream, Snowpiercer, 3:10 to Yuma, World War Z). The soundtrack will be released on December 16, 2014 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Check out audio clips below. 1864 is created by Ole Bornedal (Nightwatch, I Am Dina) and stars Pilou Asbæk, Jakob Oftebro, Marie Tourell Søderberg, Sidse Babett Knudsen and Søren Malling. The 8-part drama centers on the conflict between Denmark and Prussia, which resulted in more than 5,000 Danish deaths and the loss of one-third of Danish territory.
‘Grantchester’ Soundtrack Announced
Silva Screen Records will release a soundtrack album for the British series Grantchester. The album features the show’s original music composed by Emmy Award winner John Lunn (Downton Abbey, The White Queen). Also included are songs by Louis Armstrong, Sidney Bechet and Gloria Dee. Check out audio clips after the jump. Grantchester is created by Daisy Coulam and stars James Norton, Robson Green, Morven Christie, Tessa Peake-Jones, Al Weaver and Pheline Roggan. The show is based on the book series The Grantchester Mysteries by James Runcie and follows a charismatic young clergyman and a down-to-earth cop who team up to fight crime in 1953’s Grantchester.
Stephen Warbeck Scoring ‘Indian Summers’
Stephen Warbeck is composing the music for PBS’ and Channel 4’s upcoming mini-series Indian Summers. The epic drama is created and written by Paul Rutman (Vera) and stars Julie Walters, Henry Lloyd-Hughes, Jemima West, Nikesh Patel, Roshan Seth, Lillete Dubey, Alexander Cobb, Craig Parkinson, Fiona Glascott, Amber Rose Revah, Aysha Kala, Olivia Grant and Edward Hogg. The 10-parter directed by Anand Tucker (Hilary and Jackie, Shopgirl, Leap Year) tells the story of the decline of the British Empire and the birth of modern India, from both sides of the experience. Simon Curtis (My Week with Marilyn) is executive producing the project with Charlie Pattinson (Shameless, Skins), Elaine Pyke (Strike Back) and Rebecca Eato.
Weekly TV Music Roundup (December 7, 2014)
Premiering tonight is the Lifetime original mini-series The Red Tent directed by Roger Young, executive produced by Paula Weinstein and starring Minnie Driver, Morena Baccarin, Rebecca Ferguson, Iain Glen, Will Tudor and Debra Winger. The series’ original music is composed by Laurent Eyquem (Copperhead, Winnie Mandela, Rage). The two-parter based on the best-selling novel by Anita Diamant tells the story of Dinah, the daughter of Leah and Jacob and will air tonight and tomorrow on Lifetime. ‘Transporter – The Series’ Season 1 Soundtrack Announced
A soundtrack album has been announced for the action drama Transporter: The Series. The album features selections from the original music of the show’s first season composed by Nathaniel Mechaly (Taken series, Colombiana, Taxi Brooklyn). Also included are songs from the series by ADN System. The soundtrack will be released digitally on December 15, 2014 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Audio clips are embedded after the jump. Transporter: The Series based on Luc Besson’s action film franchise stars Chris Vance, Andrea Osvart, Francois Berleand, Delphine Chaneac and Rachel Skaris. The show follows professional transporter Frank Martin, who opertates in a seedy underworld of dangerous criminals and desperate players.
‘On Angel Wings’ Soundtrack Announced
The Illuminated Film Company will release a soundtrack album for the animated short On Angel Wings. The album features the film’s original music composed by Julian Nott (Wallace & Gromit shorts & feature). On Angel Wings is written and directed by Dave Unwin (Father Christmas), executive produced by Iain Harvey (The Snowman) and features the voices of Sir Michael Gambon, Dominic Cooper and Juliet Stevenson. The short is based on a book by Michael Morpurgo (War Horse) and tells the story of a young shepherd and how he came to be the first visitor to the new born Christ child – ahead of the other shepherds, and in complete secret.
