Stephen Endelman is scoring the new VH1 original drama Hindsight. The show is created by Emily Fox (New York Minute, Jane By Design) and stars Laura Ramsey, Sarah Goldberg, Craig Horner, Nick Clifford, Jessy Hodges, John Patrick Amedori and Drew Sidora. The movie follows a woman who on the day of her wedding in 2014, wakes up in 1995, faced with the opportunity to change the direction of her life from that point forward. Fox is also executive producing the project with John A. Norris (One Tree Hill), Carl Beverly & Sarah Timberman (Justified, Elementary), Maggie Malina (Hit The Floor) and Alexander A. Motlagh.

‘Broadchurch’ Soundtrack Details
Mercury Records will release a soundtrack album for the critically acclaimed British series Broadchurch. The album features selections from the show’s original music from the first two seasons composed by Olafur Arnalds (United, Gimme Shelter), including the new song So Far performed by Arnór Dan. The soundtrack will be released overseas on January 19, 2015. No word yet on a domestic release date. The label has previously released a soundtrack EP featuring music from the first season. Broadchurch written and created by Chris Chibnall (Torchwood) stars David Tennant, Olivia Colman, Vicky McClure, Jodie Whittaker, Andrew Buchan, Will Mellor and Arthur Darvill.
‘Wolf Hall’ Soundtrack Announced
Silva Screen Records will release a soundtrack album for the BBC mini-series Wolf Hall. The album features selections from the show’s original music composed and conducted by Debbie Wiseman (Wilde, Adventures of Arsene Lupin, Vampire Killers). The soundtrack will be released overseas on March 9, 2015 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Wolf Hall is based on the Booker Prize-winning novels of Hilary Manteland and stars Mark Rylance, Damian Lewis, Claire Foy, Jonathan Pryce, Mark Gatiss, Stephen Gardiner, Anton Lesser, Mathieu Amalric, Charity Wakefield, Jessica Raine, Bernard Hill, Richard Dillane, Thomas Brodie-Sangster and Natasha Little. The series written by Peter Straughan (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy) and produced by Peter Kosminsky (White Oleander) chronicles the rise of Thomas Cromwell in the Tudor court, from his lowly start as a blacksmith’s son to Henry VIII’s closest advisor.
‘Chicago Fire’ Season 1 & 2 Soundtrack Details
Lakeshore Records will release two soundtrack albums for the NBC drama Chicago Fire. The albums feature selections from the show’s original music composed by Atli Orvasson (Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters, Vantage Point, The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones). The Season 2 soundtrack will be released digitally on January 6, 2015 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The release date info for the Season 1 album will be added to this page soon. Chicago Fire is created by Michael Brandt & Derek Haas and stars Jesse Spencer, Taylor Kinney, Eamonn Walker, Charlie Barnett, Monica Raymund, Lauren German, David Eigenberg and Teri Reeves.
Trevor Morris to Score National Geographic’s ‘Killing Jesus’
Trevor Morris has been tapped to score the National Geographic Channel television event Killing Jesus. The movie is directed by Christopher Menaul (Summer in February, The Forsyte Saga) and stars Kelsey Grammer, Stephen Moyer, Emmanuelle Chriqui, John Rhys Davies, Rufus Sewell, Eoin Macken, Aneurin Barnard, Vernon Dobtcheff, Tamsin Egerton and John Lynch. The three-hour event is based on the best-selling book by Bill O’Reilly and chronicles the life of Jesus of Nazareth through the retelling of the political, social and historical conflicts during the Roman Empire that ultimately led to his death. Walon Green (The Wild Bunch, Eraser) has written the script. O’Reilly is also executive producing the project with Ridley Scott & David Zucker (The Good Wife, Numb3rs) for Scott Free Productions, Mary Lisio (Killing Kennedy), Teri Weinberg (The Tudors), Charlie Parsons (Survivor) and Heather Moran.
‘The Flash vs. Arrow’ Soundtrack Released
WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack album for the crossover episode The Flash vs. Arrow from the CW hit series The Flash and Arrow. The album features selections from the 2-night event’s original music composed by Blake Neely (The Mentalist, Resurrection, The Pacific, Life As We Know It). The soundtrack is now available to download on iTunes, where you can also listen to audio clips. The Flash vs. Arrow premiered earlier this month as part of both superhero shows on The CW. The first season of The Flash currently airs every Tuesday night and the third season Arrow airs Wednesday nights on The CW.
‘Elf: Buddy’s Musical Christmas’ Soundtrack Released
WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack album for the stop-motion animated holiday special Elf: Buddy’s Musical Christmas. The album features the one-hour special’s songs written by Matthew Sklar, as well as selections from the score composed by Sklar and Christopher Guardino. The soundtrack is now available to download on iTunes, where you can also listen to audio clips. Elf: Buddy’s Musical Christmas is directed by Mark Caballero & Seamus Walsh and featuring the voices of Jim Parsons, Mark Hamill, Ed Asner, Fred Armisen, Jay Leno, Matt Lauer, Rachael MacFarlane, Max Charles, Gilbert Gottfried, Kate Micucci and Steve Higgins. The Warner Bros. Animation production is based on Jon Favreau’s 2003 film starring Will Ferrell and the Broadway show Elf: The Musical and tells the story of Buddy’s travels to New York City to meet the father he never knew he had.

Premiering tomorrow, December 15, is the Syfy original mini-series Ascension created by Philip Levens and starring Brian P. Bell, Brian Van Holt, Tricia Helfer, Andrea Roth, Tiffany Lonsdale, Ryan Robbins, Jacqueline Byers, P.J. Boudousqué and Gil Bellows. The six-parter’s original music is composed by Trevor Morris (The Tudors, Immortals, The Borgias, Vikings, Olympus Has Fallen). Hans Zimmer & Lorne Balfe Scoring NBC’s ‘A.D.’
Hans Zimmer and Lorne Balfe are scoring the upcoming NBC event mini-series A.D.. The 12-parter is the sequel to last year’s History series The Bible and starts with the Crucifixion and The Resurrection and chronicles the events that follow. The show’s cast includes Juan Pablo di Pace, Vincent Regan, Greta Scacchi, Aniss Elkohen, Richard Coyle, Babou Ceesay, Chipo Chung, Cesare Taurasi and Adam Levy. Simon Block (Inspector Lewis) has written the scripts. Mark Burnett (Survivor, Shark Tank) and Roma Downey are executive producing the project with Richard Bedser. Zimmer and Balfe have previously scored last year’s History original The Bible for the producers, as well as the theatrical version Son of God.
Clinton Shorter Takes Over Scoring Duties on Showtime’s ‘House of Lies’
Clinton Shorter revealed in an interview with The Film Yap that he is the new composer of the Showtime original series House of Lies. The show is created and executive produced by Matthew Carnahan, Jessika Borsiczky & David Walpert and stars Kristen Bell, Don Cheadle, Ben Schwartz and Josh Lawson. The series follows a group of management consultants who stop at nothing to get business deals done. Demetri Martin and Valorie Curry are guest starring in the new season.
