Varese Sarabande will release a soundtrack album for the Starz original series Ash vs. Evil Dead. The album features selections from the show’s original music composed by Joseph LoDuca (Evil Dead film series, Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, Xena: Warrior Princess, The Librarians). Adrian Johnston to Score ITV’s & PBS’ ‘Churchill’s Secret’
Adrian Johnston is reuniting with director Charles Sturridge on the upcoming ITV/PBS movie Churchill’s Secret. The film is adapted by Stewart Harcourt (Treasure Island, Poirot) from Jonathan Smith’s book The Churchill Secret: KBO and stars Michael Gambon as Sir Winston Churchill, Lindsay Duncan as Clementine Churchill, as well as Romola Garai, Matthew Macfayden, Bill Paterson, Daisy Lewis, Tara Fitzgerald, James Wilby and Rachel Stirling. The drama is told from the point of view of Churchill’s nurse Millie Appleyard and follows the British Prime Minister’s battle to recover from a stroke in 1953, as his wife hopes it will force him to retire, and his political friends and foe strategize as to who will succeed him.
‘Atlantis’ – Season 2 Soundtrack Details
Silva Screen Records will release a new soundtrack album for the BBC series Atlantis. The album features selections from the original music from the show’s second season composed by Stuart Hancock. The soundtrack will be released on December 11, 2015. Atlantis is created by Johnny Capps, Julian Murphy & Howard Overman and stars Mark Addy, Jack Donnelly, Robert Emms, Aiysha Hart, Sarah Parish, Juliet Stevenson, Jemima Rooper and Amy Manson. The show follows the adventures of Jason, Hercules and Pythagoras who battle against some of the most famous names of Greek legend, often in unexpected guises.
David Schwartz to Score Netflix’s ‘Lady Dynamite’
David Schwartz is set to reunite with Mitchell Hurwitz on the upcoming Netflix original series Lady Dynamite. The show is created by Hurwitz & comedian Maria Bamford and stars herself, as well as Dean Cain and Ana Gasteyer. Sarah Silverman, Jenny Slate, Mira Sorvino, Patton Oswalt, Jon Cryer, Brandon Routh, June Diane Raphael, Adam Pally and Tig Notaro have been announced as guest stars. The comedy is inspired by multiple periods of Bamford’s life and tell the story of a woman who loses – and then finds – herself. Hurwitz & Bamford are also executive producing the project with Pam Brady (South Park, Neighbors from Hell).
AMC’s ‘Into the Badlands’ to Feature Music by David Shephard
David Shephard has composed the score for the first season of the new AMC original series Into the Badlands. The show is created by Alfred Gough & Miles Millar (Smallville, Shanghai Knights) and stars Daniel Wu, Marton Csokas, Aramis Knight, Emily Beecham, Sarah Bolger and Orla Brady. The drama is loosely based on the classic Chinese tale Journey to the West and tells the story of a ruthless, well-trained warrior and a young boy who embark on a journey across a dangerous land to find enlightenment. Gough and Millar are also executive producing the project with David Dobkin (Wedding Crashers, Shanghai Knights), Stacey Sher & Michael Shamberg (Pulp Fiction, Contagion), and Stephen Fung & Wu. Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda (The Raid: Redemption) has written the show’s title theme.

Premiering tonight is the new TNT original series Agent X created by William Blake Herron and starring Sharon Stone, Jeff Hephner, Gerald McRaney, Jamey Sheridan, John Shea, Mike Colter and James Earl Jones. The show’s original music is composed by Trevor Rabin (Remember the Titans, Con Air, National Treasure, Armageddon) and Paul Linford (12 Monkeys). Agent X takes place in a world where America’s Founding Fathers created a secret position for a skilled government agent to protect the country from dangerous threats. Dhani Harrison and Paul Hicks have composed the music for the Amazon Studios pilot Good Girls Revolt. The show is created by Dana Calvo (Made in Jersey) and stars Genevieve Angelson, Anna Camp, Erin Darke, Chris Diamantopoulos, Hunter Parrish, Jim Belushi, Joy Bryant and Grace Gummer as journalist Nora Ephron. The drama based on Lynn Povich’s book of the same title set in 1969 and follows a group of young female researchers at “News of the Week,” who simply ask to be treated fairly. Calvo is also executive producing the TriStar Television with Lynda Obst (Interstellar), Darlene Hunt (The Big C), Don Kurt (Justified) and Jeff Okin (Dark Skies).
Nick Urata Scoring Amazon’s ‘Highston’
Nick Urata has composed the music for the Amazon Studios pilot Highston. The show is created by Bob Nelson (Nebraska) and stars Lewis Pullman, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Chris Parnell, Curtis Armstrong, as well as guest stars Shaquille O’Neal and Flea. The comedy follows a 19-year-old with a wide circle of celebrity friends – whom only he can see. Nelson is also executive producing the project with Sacha Baron Cohen & Todd Schulman (Bruno, The Dictator) and Todd Hoffman (Love Stinks, Labor Pains). Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris have directed the pilot episode.
Shane Black’s Amazon Pilot ‘Edge’ Features Music by Brian Tyler
Brian Tyler has scored the Amazon Studios pilot Edge. The show is created by Shane Black (Lethal Weapon, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, The Long Kiss Goodnight) & Fred Dekker (Tales from the Crypt, Star Trek: Enterprise) and stars Max Martini, Ryan Kwanten and Yvonne Strahovski. The drama is based on George G. Gilman’s best-selling book series of the same title and is set in 1868 where a Union officer turned cowboy who prowls the post-Civil War West is doling out his own savage brand of justice. Black & Dekker are also executive producing the project with Barry Josephson (Bones, Turn: Washington Spies) and David Greenblatt (Battle Los Angeles).
Marcelo Zarvos Scoring Amazon’s ‘One Mississippi’ and ‘Z’
Marcelo Zarvos has composed the music for the Amazon Studios pilot One Mississippi. The show is created by Diablo Cody (Juno, Young Adult, The United States of Tara) and comedian Tig Notaro who also stars in the film alongside Noah Harpster, John Rothman and Casey Wilson. The comedy is loosely based on Nataro’s life and follows her as she deals with the complex reentry into her childhood hometown of Bay Saint Lucille, Miss., to deal with the unexpected death of her mother. Notaro is also executive producing the project with Cody, Louis C.K., Blair Breard (Louie) and Dave Becky (Everybody Hates Chris). Nicole Holofcener who previously collaborated with Zarvos on the features Enough Said and Please Give has directed the pilot episode and also serves as an executive producer.
