Silva Screen Records will release a soundtrack album for the British animated series Thunderbirds Are Go!. The album features the original music from the show’s first season composed by Ben Foster (Torchwood, Hidden Kingdoms, Scott & Bailey) and Nick Foster (The Cube) and performed by The City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra. The soundtrack will be released overseas on December 11, 2015. Thunderbirds Are Go! based on characters by Gerry & Sylvia Anderson is a remake of the classic 1960s adventure series and features the voices of Rosamund Pike, Thomas Sangster, Rasmus Hardiker, David Menkin, Kayvan Novak and David Graham.

Edward Shearmur to Score BBC’s ‘Reg’
Edward Shearmur has been hired to compose the music for the upcoming BBC original movie Reg. The film is directed by David Blair (Common, Best Laid Plans, The Street), written by Jimmy McGovern (Banished, Accused) and stars Tim Roth and Anna Maxwell Martin. The drama tells the true story of Reg Keys who lost his son in the Iraq War and then went on to contest British prime minister Tony Blair’s seat at Sedgefield in the 2005 General Election. Polly Hill (The Honorable Woman, Wolf Hall, The White Queen) is executive producing the project for BBC, alongside McGovern for LA Productions.
‘Nashville’ Season 4 – Volume 1 Soundtrack Announced
Big Machine Records will release a new soundtrack album for the ABC drama Nashville. The album features songs from the first part of the show’s fourth season performed by actors Connie Britton, Hayden Panettiere, Charles Esten, Jonathan Jackson, Aubrey Peeples, Clare Bowen, Sam Palladio, Will Chase, Chris Carmack, Riley Smith, Lennon & Maisy Stella, Chaley Rose, as well as guest star Steven Tyler and a track by Mark Collie.The Season 4 – Volume 1 soundtrack will be released on December 4, 2015 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The label has previously released two soundtrack albums for every of the previous three seasons.

WAZ-Jackson Scoring CBS’ ‘Rush Hour’ TV Series
The composer duo of WAZ-Jackson is composing the music for the upcoming CBS drama Rush Hour. The show is based on Brett Ratner’s film franchise starring Jackie Chan & Chris Tucker and stars Justin Hires, John Foo, Wendie Malick, Aimee Garcia, Page Kennedy and Jessika Van. The series follows a Hong Kong police officer who is assigned to a case in Los Angeles, where he’s forced to work with a cocky African-American LAPD officer who has no interest in a partner.
NBC’s ‘Chicago Med’ to Feature Music by Atli Orvarsson
Atli Orvarsson is scoring the new NBC drama Chicago Med. The show is created by Michael Brandt & Derek Haas (Wanted, 3:10 to Yuma) and stars Oliver Platt, S. Epatha Merkerson, Nick Gehlfuss, Yaya DaCosta, Colin Donnell, Torrey DeVitto and Rachel DiPillo. The series marks the third entry in the Chicago franchise following Chicago Fire and Chicago P.D., which Orvarsson is also scoring, and centers on the day-to-day chaos of the city’s newest state-of-the-art trauma center and the lives of its doctors, nurses and staff.
Paul Englishby to Score Netflix’s ‘The Crown’
Paul Englishby has been hired to score the upcoming Netflix original series The Crown. The show is created by Peter Morgan (The Queen, Rush, Frost/Nixon) and stars Claire Foy as Queen Elizabeth II, Matt Smith as Philip Mountbatten, Duke of Edinburgh, Vanessa Kirby as Princess Margaret and John Lithgow as Winston Churchill. The 10-parter is based on Morgan’s play The Audience and centers on the interplay and political intrigue between Queen Elizabeth II and the British prime ministers spanning several decades. Morgan is also executive producing the Sony Pictures TV and Left Bank Pictures production with Stephen Daldry (The Hours, The Reader), Philip Martin (The Forger), Andy Harries (The Damned United), Suzanne Mackie (Calendar Girls, Pinky Boots), Tanya Seghatchian (My Summer of Love), Robert Fox (Notes on a Scandal, Iris) and Matthew Byam Shaw.

Columbia Records will release a new soundtrack album for the Fox hit drama Empire. The album features more songs from the show by cast members including Terrence Howard (Lucious Lyon), Jussie Smollett (Jamal Lyon) and Bryshere Gray a.k.a. Yazz (Hakeem Lyon), as well as Timbaland, Pitbull, Sereyah, Bre-Z & more. The Season 2 – Volume 1 soundtrack will be released on November 20, 2015 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The label has previously released a soundtrack album featuring the songs from the first season. Empire is created by Lee Daniels & Danny Strong and follows the head of a music empire whose three sons and ex-wife all battle for his throne.
Soundtrack for BBC’s ‘The Hunt’ Announced
Sony Music has announced a soundtrack album for the BBC natural history documentary The Hunt. The album features the series’ original music composed by Academy Award winner Steven Price (Gravity, Fury, The World’s End, Attack the Block) performed by the BBC Concert Orchestra under conductor, Geoffrey Alexander. The soundtrack will be released overseas on November 13, 2015 and is now available as an import on Amazon. The Hunt is executive produced by Alastair Fothergill (Blue Planet, Frozen Earth, Planet Earth), produced by Huw Cordey (Planet Earth, South Pacific) and centers on the relationship between predators and their prey. The 7-part series is narrated by Sir David Attenborough and features rarely seen animal behaviour including killer whales hunting humpback whales in tropical waters.
‘Moonbeam City’ Soundtrack Announced
Milan Records will release a soundtrack album for the Comedy Central series Moonbeam City. The album features selections from the show’s original music composed by Los Angeles Synthpop band Night Club. The soundtrack will be released on December 18, 2015 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Moonbeam City is created by Scott Gairdner, produced by animation studio Titmouse (Superjail!, The Venture Bros.) features the voices of Rob Lowe, Elizabeth Banks, Will Forte, and Kate Mara. The series centers on Dazzle Novak, a loose cannon police detective with the Moonbeam City PD, and his attempts to clean the city’s neon-soaked streets.
