The details of the soundtrack album for the sci-fi series Humans have been announced. The album features selections from the show’s original music composed by Cristobal Tapia de Veer (Utopia). The soundtrack will be released on December 4, 2015 by Silva Screen Records and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Humans is created by Jonathan Brackley & Sam Vincent and stars Gemma Chan, Katherine Parkinson, Tom Goodman-Hill, William Hurt, Will Tudor, Rebecca Front and Colin Morgan. The show based on the Swedish TV series Real Humans is set in a parallel present in London where the latest must-have gadget for any busy family is a Synth – a highly developed, artificially intelligent servant similar to its living counterpart.

‘The Knick’ Season 2 Soundtrack Announced
Milan Records will release a new soundtrack album for the Cinemax original series The Knick. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s second season composed by Cliff Martinez (Traffic, Drive, Contagion, Solaris, Sex, Lies and Videotapes). The soundtrack will be released digitally on October 30, 2015. A CD version is set to come out on December 18 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The label has previously released a soundtrack album featuring music from the first season. The Knick is directed by Steven Soderbergh, created by Jack Amiel & Michael Begler and stars Clive Owen, Andre Holland, Juliet Rylance, Eve Hewson, Collin Meath and Michael Angarano. The series follows the groundbreaking surgeons, nurses and staff at the Knickerbocker Hospital in time of astonishingly high mortality rates and zero antibiotics.

Premiering tomorrow, October 26, is the CBS drama Supergirl based on the DC Comics property, developed by Greg Berlanti, Ali Adler & Sarah Schechter and starring Melissa Benoist, Calista Flockhart, Mehcad Brooks, David Harewood and Chyler Leigh. The show’s original music is composed by Blake Neely (The Flash, Arrow, Blindspot, No Ordinary Family, The Mentalist, Life As We Know It). Premiering on Tuesday, October 27, is the new ABC drama Wicked City created by Steven Baigelman and starring Ed Westwick, Erika Christensen, Jeremy Sisto, Taissa Farmiga, Gabriel Luna, Anne Winters, Karolina Wydra, Evan Ross and Jaime Ray Newman. BT (The Fast and the Furious, Monster, Driven, Go, Catch and Release) and Mike DiMattia (Betrayal) are composing the show’s original music. Maurizio Malagnini Scoring ITV’s ‘Peter & Wendy’
This week, Maurizio Malagnini has recorded his score for the upcoming ITV movie Peter & Wendy. The film stars Zac Sutcliffe and Hazel Doupe in the title roles, alongside Stanley Tucci as Captain Hook, Laura Fraser as Mrs. Darling and Paloma Faith as Tinker Bell. The Headline Pictures production is based on J.M. Barrie’s classic novel Peter Pan and is directed by Diarmuid Lawrence (Little Dorrit). Adrian Hodges (My Week with Marilyn, Primeval, The Musketeers) has written the screenplay and Christian Baute and Stewart Mackinnon (Quartet, The Invisible Woman) are producing the project.
BBC’s ‘River’ Soundtrack Announced
Silva Screen Records will release a soundtrack album for the BBC series River. The album features selections from the show’s original music composed by Harry Escott (Shame, Hard Candy, A Mighty Heart, Welcome to the Punch). Also included is the song I Love to Love performed by Tina Charles. The soundtrack will be released overseas on November 13, 2015 and in the U.S. on December 4. River is written and created by Abi Morgan (Shame, Suffragette) and stars Stellan Skarsgård, Nicola Walker, Adeel Akhtar, Lesley Manville, Eddie Marsan, Sorcha Cusack and Georgina Rich. The show follows a brilliant police officer whose genius and fault-line is the fragility of his mind – a man haunted by the murder victims whose cases he must lay to rest.
BT Scoring ABC’s ‘Wicked City
BT has announced on Twitter that he has taken over scoring duties on the upcoming ABC drama Wicked City. He is co-scoring the series with Mike DiMattia. The series is created by Steven Baigelman (Get on Up) and stars Ed Westwick, Erika Christensen, Jeremy Sisto, Taissa Farmiga, Gabriel Luna, Anne Winters, Karolina Wydra, Evan Ross and Jaime Ray Newman. The show follows a unique case set in Los Angeles, starting with a murder case from 1982 centered on the rock ’n’ roll, cocaine-infused revelry of the Sunset Strip. Baigelman also serves as an executive producer on the ABC Studios production, alongside Todd Lieberman & David Hoberman (The Fighter, The Proposal), Laurie Zaks (Castle) and Jon Cassar (24).
John Debney to Score NBC’s ‘Game of Silence’
John Debney is composing the music for the upcoming NBC drama Game of Silence. The show is created by David Hudgins (Parenthood, Friday Night Lights) and stars David Lyons, Michael Raymond-James, Larenz Tate, Bre Blair, Conor O’Farrell Deidrie Henry, Demetrius Grosse and Claire van der Boom. The series follows a successful Atlanta attorney whose long-lost childhood friends unexpectedly reappear after 25 years and threaten to expose a dark, violent secret from their past. Hudgins is also producing the Universal Television and Sony Pictures Television production with Carol Mendelsohn (CSI, CSI: Miami), Julie Weitz, Timur Savci, Tariq Jalil and Niels Arden Oplev (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Dead Man Down) who also directed the pilot episode.
Todd Haberman Co-Scoring ‘Hemlock Grove’ Season 3
Todd Haberman has joined composer Nathan Barr to co-score the third season of the Netflix original series Hemlock Grove. The show based on the novel by Brian McGreevey is executive produced by Eli Roth (Hostel, Cabin Fever, The Green Inferno) and stars Famke Janssen, Landon Liboiron, Bill Skarsgard, Madeleine Martin and Camille De Pazzis. In the new season, the town’s grim secrets continue to unravel at an alarming pace as Olivia, Roman, Peter and Shelley are introduced to mysterious new people while facing dangerous and unexpected obstacles. Charles H. Eglee (Dexter, The Shield, Dark Angel) returns as the project’s showrunner.
Rob Lane to Score ITV’s ‘Beowulf’
Rob Lane has been hired to score the upcoming ITV original series Beowulf. The fantasy drama is created by James Dormer (Strike Back) and stars Kieran Bew in the title role, alongside William Hurt, Joanne Whalley, Ed Speleers and David Ajala. The show tells the story of Beowulf, a troubled warrior who experiences love and loss yet shares a deep binding comradery with his fellow kinsmen. Tim Haines (Primeval, Walking with Dinosaurs) and Katie Newman (Primeval: New World) are executive producing the ITV Studios production with Dormer.

Premiering tonight is the TV movie Jesse Stone: Lost in Paradise directed by Robert Harmon and starring Tom Selleck, William Devane, Gloria Reuben, Leslie Hope and Luke Perry. The film’s original music is composed by Jeff Beal (House of Cards, Rome, Monk, Appaloosa, Ugly Betty, Carnivale) who previously scored the nine other movies in the series that premiered between 2005 and 2012 on CBS.
