Dave Porter is composing the music for the new AMC original series Preacher. The show is developed by Evan Goldberg & Seth Rogen (This Is the End, The Interview) and show runner Sam Catlin based on the comic book franchise of the same title and stars Dominic Cooper, Ruth Negga, Joseph Gilgun, Lucy Griffiths, Anatol Yusef, Tom Brooke, W. Earl Brown, Ian Colletti and Derek Wilson. The drama follows a West Texas preacher who is inhabited by a mysterious entity which causes him to develop a highly unusual power. Goldberg, Rogen & Catlin are also executive producing the Sony Pictures Television and AMC Studios production with Neal Moritz (Fast & Furious series, 21/22 Jump Street), James Weaver (Neighbors, The Night Before), Vivian Cannon (The Big C), Ori Marmur (Battle Los Angeles, Jack the Giant Slayer), Jason Netter (Wanted) and Ken Levin.

James Newton Howard Scoring HBO’s ‘All the Way’
James Newton Howard has recently recorded his score for the upcoming HBO original movie All the Way. The film is directed by Jay Roach (Austin Powers, Meet the Parents, Trumbo, Game Change) and stars Bryan Cranston as President Lyndon B. Johnson, Anthony Mackie as Martin Luther King and Melissa Leo as Lady Bird Johnson. Bradley Whitford, Stephen Root, Marque Richardson, Aisha Hinds, Todd Weeks, Mo McRae, Spencer Garrett and Frank Langella are co-starring. The movie is based on Robert Schenkkan’s Tony Award-winning play of the same title and follows LBJ’s first year in office as he takes the oath in the wake of President Kennedy’s assassination, navigates the escalation of the Vietnam War and balances opposing interests to launch his landmark civil rights bill.
Trevor Morris to Score NBC’s ‘Emerald City’
Trevor Morris has been tapped to score the upcoming NBC drama Emerald City. The show executive produced by David Schulner (Do No Harm), Shaun Cassidy (Invasion) & Matt Arnold (Siberia) is inspired by L. Frank Baum’s The Wizard of Oz and follows a 20-year-old Dorothy Gale and her K9 police dog who are transported to a mystical land of competing kingdoms, lethal warriors, dark magic and a bloody battle for supremacy. Tarsem Singh (The Cell, Mirror Mirror) who previously collaborated with the composer on 2011’s Immortals is set to direct all episodes. The project produced by Universal Television has been picked up for a 10-episode season.
Stuart Earl to Score BBC’s ‘The Secret Agent’
Stuart Earl has been hired to score the upcoming BBC mini-series The Secret Agent. The drama is directed by Charles McDougall (Hillsborough, Desperate Housewives, The Good Wife) and stars Toby Jones, Vicky McClure, Stephen Graham, Ian Hart, Tom Goodman-Hill and David Dawson. The 3-parter is based on the book by Joseph Conrad and follows a Soho shopkeeper who doubles as a secret agent for the Russian government. Tony Marchant (The Mark of Cain, Garrow’s Law) has adapted the material for the small screen. Simon Heath (The Great Train Robbery, United) and Polly Hill are executive producing the project.

Premiering tomorrow, March 7, is the new A&E original series Damien created by Glen Mazzaro and starring Bradley James, Barbara Hershey, Omid Abtahi and Meganlyn Echikunwoke. The show’s original music is composed by Bear McCreary (The Walking Dead, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Battlestar Galactica, Outlander, 10 Cloverfield Lane) is composing the show’s original music. Trevor Morris (Immortals, The Borgias, Olympus/London Has Fallen, Vikings) is composing the show’s original music. ‘The Night Manager’ Soundtrack Details
The details of the soundtrack album for the AMC and BBC mini-series The Night Manager have been revealed. The album features the show’s original music composed by Victor Reyes (Buried, Grand Piano, Red Lights). The soundtrack will be released on March 25, 2016 by Silva Screen Records and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The Night Manager is based on the novel by John Le Carre and stars Hugh Laurie, Tom Hiddleston, Olivia Colman, Tom Hollander, Elizabeth Debicki, David Harewood, Neil Morrissey, Katherine Kelly and Tobias Menzies. The 6-parter directed by Susanne Bier follows a former British soldier who is recruited by an intelligence operative to navigate the shadowy recesses of Whitehall and Washington where an alliance operates between the intelligence community and the secret arms trade.
Elliott Wheeler to Score Netflix’s ‘The Get Down’
Elliott Wheeler has been tapped to score the upcoming Netflix original series The Get Down. The show is created by Baz Luhrmann (Moulin Rouge!, The Great Gatsby, Romeo & Juliet, Australia) & Shawn Ryan (The Shield, Last Resort) and stars Shameik Moore, Justice Smith, Herizen Guardiola, Jaden Smith, Skylan Brooks, Tremaine Browne, Jr., Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Jimmy Smits and Giancarlo Esposito. The period drama is set in 1970s New York and follows a group of teens struggling to survive and find outlets through music. Luhrmann & Ryan are also executive producing the Sony Pictures Television production with Catherine Martin, Paul Watters, Thomas Kelly, Stephen Adly Guirgis and Marney Hochman.
Hulu’s ‘The Path’ to Feature Music by Will Bates
Will Bates is scoring the upcoming Hulu original series The Path. The show is created by Jessica Goldberg (Alex of Venice) and stars Aaron Paul, Michelle Monaghan, Hugh Dancy, and Rockmond Dunbar. The drama follows a family at the center of a controversial cult movement as they struggle with relationships, faith, and power. Goldberg is also executive producing the Universal Television production with Jason Katims (Friday Night Lights, Parenthood, The Vow) and Michelle Lee of True Jack Productions.
Ilan Eshkeri Scoring ‘Doctor Thorne’
Ilan Eshkeri has composed the music for the new ITV mini-series Doctor Thorne. The drama is written by Julian Fellowes (Downton Abbey, Gosford Park) and stars Tom Hollander, Rebecca Front, Ian McShane, Alison Brie, Richard McCabe, Phoebe Nicholls, Gwyneth Keyworth, Kate O’Flynn, Edward Franklin, Stefanie Martini and Harry Richardson. The 3-parter is based on the novel of the same title by Anthony Trollope and revolves around the penniless Mary Thorne, who grows up with her rich aunt and cousins at Greshamsbury Park estate. Fellowes is also executive producing the project with Mark Redhead (Bloody Sunday), Christopher Kelly and Ted Childs (Inspector Lewis).
