Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album for the political thriller The Secret Agent (O Agente Secreto). The album features the film’s original music composed by Mateus Alves & Tomaz Alves Souza (Bacurau). The soundtrack is now available to stream on most major digital music services in the U.S. and Canada. Visit Amazon to check out the track list. The Secret Agent is written and directed by Kleber Mendonça Filho and stars Wagner Moura, Carlos Francisco, Alice Carvalho Tânia Maria, Robério Diógenes, Isabél Zuaa, Gabriel Leone and Udo Kier. The movie, which has been selected as Brazil’s entry (and recently was shortlisted) in the International Feature category for next year’s Academy Awards, is set in the late 1970s and follows a technology expert on the run, hoping to reunite with his son.

Weekly Film Music Roundup (December 5, 2025)
Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the horror sequel Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 directed by Emma Tammi and starring Josh Hutcherson, Piper Rubio, Elizabeth Lail, Mckenna Grace, Wayne Knight, Freddy Carter, Theodus Crane, Skeet Ulrich and Matthew Lillard. The film’s original music is composed by The Newton Brothers (Doctor Sleep, Daredevil: Born Again, X-Men ’97, The Haunting of Hill House, The Life of Chuck, The Fall of the House of Usher, Midnight Mass, The Forever Purge). Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score today. Also opening wide is the British spoof comedy Fackham Hall directed by Jim O’Hanlon and stars Thomasin McKenzie, Ben Radcliffe, Tom Felton, Damian Lewis,Emma Laird, Katherine Waterston and Adam Woodward. Oli Julian (Sex Education, The Twits, The Full Monty, Renegade Nell, Breeders, Catastrophe, How to Build a Girl) is credited as the film’s “composer” and David Arnold (Casino Royale, Independence Day, Stargate, Tomorrow Never Dies, The World Is Not Enough, Shaft) is receiving “music by” credit. Stuart Earl to Score BBC’s ‘The Secret Agent’
Stuart Earl has been hired to score the upcoming BBC mini-series The Secret Agent. The drama is directed by Charles McDougall (Hillsborough, Desperate Housewives, The Good Wife) and stars Toby Jones, Vicky McClure, Stephen Graham, Ian Hart, Tom Goodman-Hill and David Dawson. The 3-parter is based on the book by Joseph Conrad and follows a Soho shopkeeper who doubles as a secret agent for the Russian government. Tony Marchant (The Mark of Cain, Garrow’s Law) has adapted the material for the small screen. Simon Heath (The Great Train Robbery, United) and Polly Hill are executive producing the project.
