home-for-christmasPremiering tonight is the Hallmark original movie I’ll Be Home for Christmas directed by James Brolin who also stars in the film with Mena Suvari and Giselle Eisenberg. The film’s original music is composed by William Ross (Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, My Dog Skip, Ladder 49, Tuck Everlasting). The family drama follows an assistant District Attorney and single mom who has to deal with her estranged dad when he unexpectedly shows up at her door. Boyz II Men’s Original Song for Amazon’s ‘The Snowy Day’ Released

the-snowy-dayThe Grammy Award-winning R&B group Boyz II Men has recorded an original song for the Amazon holiday special The Snowy Day. The track has been released as digital single and is available to download on Amazon. The Snowy Day based on the best-selling children’s book by Ezra Jack Keats is directed by Jamie Badminton & Rufus Blacklock and features the voices of Donielle Hansley, Laurence Fishburne (who is also producing the project), Regina King and Angela Bassett. The animated special follows a boy who goes on a magical, snowy walk to his Nana’s house to bring home their Christmas Eve dinner.

Clint Mansell’s Music from ‘Black Mirror’ Episode ‘San Junipero’ to Be Released

san-juniperoLakeshore Records will release the soundtrack for the Black Mirror episode San Junipero. The album features the episode’s original music composed by Clint Mansell (Requiem for a Dream, Black Swan, The Fountain, The Wrestler, Noah). The soundtrack will be released digitally on December 2, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. San Junipero is directed by Owen Harris, written by Charlie Brooker and stars Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Mackenzie Davis and Denise Burse. The episode takes place in a seaside town in 1987 and follows a shy young woman and an outgoing party girl who strike up a powerful bond that seems to defy the laws of space and time. The third season of Black Mirror is now available to stream on Netflix.

Martin Phipps’ Score from ‘Black Mirror’ Episode ‘Hated in the Nation’ Released

hated-in-the-nationDubois Records has released the original score of the Black Mirror episode Hated in the Nation. The music is written by Emmy Award nominee Martin Phipps (Woman in Gold, War & Peace, The Honorable Woman, Brighton Rock, Harry Brown) and marks the composer’s second score for the show following the 2011 episode The National Anthem. Also included is the song Fall Into Me by Alev Lenz. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon and iTunes, where you can also listen to audio samples. The Hated in the Nation episode is directed by James Hawes and stars Kelly Macdonald, Faye Marsay and Benedict Wong. The episode is written by series creator Charlie Brooker and follows a London police detective and his tech-savvy sidekick as they investigate a string of mysterious deaths with a sinister link to social media.

search-partyPremiering tomorrow, November 21, is the new TBS original series Search Party created by Sarah-Violet Bliss & Charles Roger and starring Alia Shawkat, John Early, John Reynolds, Meredith Hagner and Brandon Micheal Hall. The show’s original music is composed by Brian H. Kim (Hello, My Name is Doris, Significant Mother, G.B.F.). The comedy follows four self-absorbed twenty-somethings who become entangled in an ominous mystery when a former college acquaintance suddenly disappears. mercyPremiering on Tuesday, November 22, on Netflix is the thriller Mercy written and directed by Chris Sparling and starring James Wolk, Caitlin Fitzgerald, Tom Lipinski, Dan Ziskie, Michael Godere, Michael Donovan, Dion Graham and Constance Baron. Phil Mossman (Cop Car, Another Earth, I Origins, Lola Versus) has composed the film’s original music. The show’s original music is composed by Nick Cave & Warren Ellis (The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, Lawless, Hell or High Water). The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Bryony Marks (Felony, Noise). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. Please Like Me is created by Josh Thomas who also stars in the series alongside Thomas Ward, Caitlin Stasey, Emily Barclay, Debra Lawrance, Hannah Gadsby, Keegan Joyce, David Roberts and Renee Lim. The comedy, which is inspired by Thomas’ stand-up comedy and real life experiences, premiered in 2013 on ABC2 in Australia and on Pivot in the U.S.

Netflix’s ‘Captive’ to Feature Music by Anne Nikitin

captiveAnne Nikitin has composed the music for the new Netflix original series Captive. The docu-series is executive produced by Doug Liman (The Bourne Identity, Edge of Tomorrow, Go, Mr. & Mrs. Smith) and Simon Chinn (Man on Wire, Searching for Sugar Man) and focuses on the challenging negotiations involved in resolving hostage situations. The episodes look at the situations from the viewpoint of everyone involved: the victims and their families back home, the negotiators, government officials, business leaders, and the kidnappers. Also executive producing the project are Simon Chinn for Lightbox, Dave Bartis & Gene Klein for Hypnotic. and Lisa Nishimura, Adam Del Deo & Jason Spingarn-Koff for Netflix.

Simon Franglen Scoring AT&T Audience Network’s ‘Ice’

iceSimon Franglen is composing the music for the new AT&T Audience Network original series Ice. The show is written by Robert Munic (Fighting, The Cleaner) and stars Cam Gigandet, Jeremy Sisto, Ray Winstone, Judith Shekoni, Raymond Barry, Ella Thomas, Chloe East, Audrey Marie Anderson and Donald Sutherland. The crime drama follows the Green family as it plunges into the underbelly of the Los Angeles diamond trade. Antoine Fuqua (Training Day, The Equalizer, Olympus Has Fallen) has directed the first episode and is also executive producing the Entertainment One (eOne) and Fuqua Films production with Munic.

USA’s ‘Shooter’ to Feature Music by Bobby Krlic

shooterBobby Krlic is composing the music for the new USA original series Shooter. The show is based on the best-selling novel Point of Impact by Stephen Hunter and Antoine Fuqua’s 2007 feature of the same title and stars Ryan Phillippe, Omar Epps, Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Shantel VanSanten and Eddie McClintock. The drama follows a highly-decorated veteran who is coaxed back into action to prevent a plot to kill the President. Mark Wahlberg who starred in the movie version is executive producing the Paramount Television and Universal Cable production with Stephen Levinson (Entourage, Ballers, Lone Survivor), Lorenzo di Bonaventura (Transformers, Salt, RED, Deepwater Horizon) and John Hlavin (Underworld: Awakening) who also wrote the pilot episode.
