Lakeshore Records will release a new soundtrack album for the FX original series Legion. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s second season composed by Emmy Award winner Jeff Russo (Fargo, The Night Of, Star Trek: Discovery, Snowfall, Counterpart, Power). The soundtrack will be released digitally on May 25, 2018 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The label has previously released two soundtracks featuring the composer’s score from the first season. A separate album featuring the cover songs from the series is also in the works. Legion is created by Noah Hawley based on the Marvel Comics and stars Dan Stevens, Rachel Keller, Jean Smart, Aubrey Plaza, Jeremie Harris, Amber Midthunder, Katie Aselton and Bill Irwin.

Hildur Gudnadottir to Score HBO’s & Sky’s ‘Chernobyl’
Hildur Gudnadottir has been tapped to score the upcoming HBO and Sky mini-series Chernobyl. The show is created by Craig Mazin (The Hangover: Part II & III), directed by Johan Renck (Downloading Nancy) and stars Jared Harris, Stellan Skarsgard and Emily Watson. The 5-part drama centers on the 1986 nuclear disaster that triggered the evacuation of a Ukranian city from the perspectives of Valery Legasov, the Soviet scientist chosen by the Kremlin to investigate the accident and Boris Shcherbina, the man responsible for leading the USSR government commission in the wake of the disaster.
CBS All Access’ ‘Strange Angel’ to Feature Music by Daniel Hart
Daniel Hart is composing the music for the upcoming CBS All Access original series Strange Angel. The show is created by Mark Heyman (Black Swan, The Skeleton Twins) based on George Pendle’s book of the same name and stars Jack Reynor, Rupert Friend, Bella Heathcote, Michael Gaston and Greg Wise. The drama follows the life of a mysterious and brilliant man in 1940s Los Angeles, who by day helps birth the entirely unknown discipline of American rocketry, and by night is a performer of sex magick rituals.
Nick Cave & Warren Ellis Scoring HBO’s & Sky’s ‘The Case Against Adnan’
Nick Cave and Warren Ellis are scoring the upcoming HBO & Sky docu-series The Case Against Adnan. The show is directed by Academy Award nominee Amy Berg (Deliver Us from Evil) and explores the 1999 disappearance and murder of 18-year-old Baltimore County high school student Hae Min Lee, and the subsequent conviction of her ex-boyfriend, Adnan Syed. Henrietta Conrad and Jemima Khan are executive producing the project for INSTINCT Productions, alongside Eric Fellner & Tim Bevan (Atonement, Love Actually) and Andrew Stearn (Shameless, Gypsy) for Working Title TV.
Soundtrack Details for HBO’s ‘Fahrenheit 451’
The full details of the soundtrack album for the HBO original movie Fahrenheit 451 have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Matteo Zingales (99 Homes, The Hunter, Secrets & Lies) & Antony Partos (Animal Kingdom, The Rover). The soundtrack is expected to be released digitally this Friday, May 18 by Milan Records (click here to download). A physical version is set to come out next month. The movie is based on Ray Bradbury’s classic novel of the same title and portrays a future where the media is an opiate, history is rewritten and “firemen” burn books.
Anne Nikitin to Score BBC’s & PBS’ ‘Mrs. Wilson’
Anne Nikitin has been hired to score the upcoming BBC and PBS Masterpiece mini-series Mrs. Wilson. The show is developed by Anna Symon (Indian Summers) and stars Ruth Wilson, Iain Glenn, Keely Hawes, Anupam Kher and Fiona Shaw. The 3-part drama directed by Richard Laxton is set in 1940s and 1960s London and 1930s India and follows Alison Wilson, who thinks she is happily married until her husband dies and a woman turns up on the doorstep claiming that she is the real Mrs. Wilson.
Jeff Beal to Score ABC’s ‘Grand Hotel’
Jeff Beal is set to compose the music for the upcoming ABC drama Grand Hotel. The show is created by Brian Tanen (Devious Maids) and stars Demian Bichir, Roselyn Sanchez, Denyse Tontz, Bryan Craig, Wendy Raquel Robinson, Lincoln Younes, Shalim Ortiz, Anne Winters, Chris Warren, Feliz Ramirez and Justina Adorno. The series revolves around the professional and personal lives of a group of people working at the last family-owned hotel in multicultural Miami Beach.
Soundtrack Album for Showtime’s ‘Patrick Melrose’ to Be Released
SATV will release a soundtrack album for the Showtime limited series Patrick Melrose. The album features the show’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee Hauschka (aka Volker Bertelmann) (Lion, Adrift, Gunpowder, In Dubious Battle, The Current War). The soundtrack will be released digitally on June 8, 2018 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Patrick Melrose is developed by David Nicholls, directed by Edward Berger and stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Hugo Weaving, Anna Madeley and Allison Williams.
Soundtrack Album for HBO’s ‘King in the Wilderness’ Released
Drawing Number One has released a soundtrack album for the HBO documentary King in the Wilderness. The album features the film’s original music composed by Saul Simon MacWilliams (Gleason, Chasing Coral, Jim: The James Foley Story, The China Hustle). Dan Romer (Beasts of the Southern Wild, The Good Doctor) served as the project’s music director. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. King in the Wilderness is directed by Peter Kunhardt and chronicles the final chapters of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s life, revealing a conflicted leader who faced an onslaught of criticism from both sides of the political spectrum.

Premiering in the U.S. tonight is the British mini-series Little Women written by Heidi Thomas based on Louisa May Alcott’s classic novel, directed by Vanessa Caswill and starring Maya Hawke, Kathryn Newton, Annes Elwy, Willa Fitzgerald, Emily Watson, Dylan Baker, Angela Lansbury, Michael Gambon and Jonah Hauer-King. The 3-parter’s original score is composed by Stuart Earl (Lilting, My Brother the Devil, And Then There Were None).
