Jeremy Zuckerman has announced that he is set to compose the music for Netflix’s upcoming live-action adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender. The show is based on the animated Nickelodeon series, which aired between 2005 and 2008 and follows the adventures of Aang and his friends who live in world, which is divided into four nations — the Water Tribe, the Earth Kingdom, the Fire Nation, and the Air Nomads — each represented by a natural element for which the nation is named. Original series’ creators Michael Dante DiMartino & Bryan Konietzko are developing the live-action adaptation.

Federico Jusid Scoring BBC/Netflix’s ‘Watership Down’
Federico Jusid has recently scored the upcoming BBC/Netflix mini-series Watership Down. The 4-parter is directed by Noam Murro (300: Rise of the Empire) and features the voice talent of James McAvoy, Nicholas Hoult, Ben Kingsley, John Boyega, Gemma Arterton, Tom Wilkinson, Miles Jupp, Freddie Fox, Olivia Colman and Anne-Marie Duff. The series based on Richard Adams’ classic novel is set in the idyllic rural landscape of southern England and follows a band of rabbits on their flight from the intrusion of man and the certain destruction of their home.
Soundtrack Album for Hallmark Channel’s ‘It’s Christmas, Eve’ to Be Released
EverLe Records will release a soundtrack album for the upcoming Hallmark Channel original movie It’s Christmas, Eve. The album features the original songs from the movie performed by LeAnne Rimes who also stars in the film. Also included is a suite from the film’s original score composed by Michael Richard Plowman (Age of Heroes, A Lonely Place to Die). The soundtrack will be released physically and digitally on October 12, 2018 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. It’s Christmas, Eve is directed by Tibor Takács and stars Rimes, alongside Tyler Hynes. The movie centers on a a gifted musician and superintendent who meets a handsome music teacher.

‘Clash of Futures’ Soundtrack Released
MovieScore Media has released a soundtrack album for the mini-series Clash of Futures. The album features the show’s original music composed and conducted by Laurent Eyquem (Copperhead, Nostalgia, Winnie Mandela, USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Clash of Futures is written and directed by Jan Peter & Frédéric Goupil and explores the dramatic era of the 1920s and ’30s. The 8-part series follows the fates of extraordinary men, women and children from France, Germany, Italy, Great Britain, Austria, Sweden, Poland and the Soviet Union using their own diary entries, letters and memoirs.
Soundtrack Album for Sky’s ‘A Discovery of Witches’ to Be Released
Dubois Records will release the first soundtrack album for the Sky original series A Discovery of Witches. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Rob Lane (John Adams, Merlin, Atlantis, The Damned United, Beowulf) and performed by The Chamber Orchestra of London. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, September 14 and is now available to download on Amazon. A Discovery of Witches is based on Deborah Harkness’ historical fantasy novel of the same title and stars Teresa Palmer, Matthew Goode, Alex Kingston, Valarie Pettiford, Lindsay Duncan and Tanya Moodie. The drama follows a young scholar at Oxford and a descendant of the Salem witches, who accidentally unlocks an enchanted manuscript and enters a forbidden romance with a charming 1,500-year-old vampire.
BET’s ‘American Soul’ to Feature Music by Kurt Farquhar
Kurt Farquhar has announced that he will be composing the score for the upcoming BET original series American Soul. The show is created by Devon Greggory & Jonathan Prince and stars Sinqua Walls, Jason Dirden, Iantha Richardson, Christopher Jefferson, Katlyn Nichol and Jelani Winston. The drama is based on the life and career of Soul Train creator Don Cornelius and centers on his Soul Train dancers, crew and musicians in an unforgiving Hollywood in the 1970’s – how they work, play, rise and fall against the backdrop of Soul Train.
Natalie Holt to Score ‘Knightfall’ Season 2 & ITV’s ‘Beecham House’
Natalie Holt has been hired to score the second season of the History original series Knightfall. The show is created by Don Handfield & Richard Rayner and stars Tom Cullen,Bobby Schofield, Sabrina Bartlett, Julian Ovenden and Sarah-Sofie Boussnina. They are joined in Season 2 by new cast members Mark Hamill, Tom Forbes and Genevieve Gaunt. The show follows the famed Knights Templar in their search for the Holy Grail. Aaron Helbing (The Flash) has joined the drama this year as the project’s new showrunner.

Marvel Music and Hollywood Records will release a new soundtrack album for the Netflix original series Iron Fist. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s second season composed by Robert Lydecker (xXx: Return of Xander Cage, Designated Survivor, Sleepy Hollow, Lethal Weapon). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, September 7 and will be available to download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio clips. The labels have previously released a soundtrack featuring Trevor Morris’ score from the series’ first season. Iron Fist is based on the Marvel Comics property and stars Finn Jones, Jessica Henwick, Jessica Stroup, Tom Pelphrey, Sacha Dhawan and Alice Eve.
