WaterTower Music will release a soundtrack album for Heather the Musical from the new musical episode of The CW’s Riverdale, entitled Big Fun. The album features the songs from the episode originally written by Laurence O’Keefe & Kevin Murphy for the Off-Broadway musical of the same title performed by cast members KJ Apa, Lili Reinhart, Cole Sprouse, Madelaine Petsch, Camila Mendes, Ashleigh Murray, Casey Cott, Vanessa Morgan, Bernadette Beck, Zoé de Grand’Maison, Charles Melton, Jordan Connor and Drew Ray Tanner . The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, March 21 and will be available to download here. The label has previously released a soundtrack for last year’s first musical episodes of the series, Carrie the Musical.

Siddhartha Khosla to Score Hulu’s ‘Looking for Alaska’
Siddhartha Khosla has signed on to score the upcoming Hulu limited series Looking for Alaska. The show is based on the novel of the same title by John Green (The Fault in Our Stars, Paper Towns) and stars Kristine Froseth and Charlie Plummer. The drama follows a teenager as he enrolls in boarding school, where falls in love with a girl, and after her unexpected death, he and his close friends attempt to uncover the truth behind her death and make sense of it.
Netflix’s ‘What/If’ to Feature Music by Fil Eisler
Fil Eisler has recently been recording his music for the upcoming Netflix original series What/If. The show is created by Mike Kelley (Revenge, Swingtown) and stars Renee Zellweger, Jane Levy, Blake Jenner and Daniella Pineda. The neo-noir drama follows a pair of cash-strapped newlyweds who accept a lucrative but morally dubious offer from a mysterious female benefactor. Kelley is also executive producing the Warner Bros. Television production with Melissa Loy for Page Fright, Alex Gartner (Get Smart, Triple Frontier) & Charles Roven (The Dark Knight, Wonder Woman) for Atlas Entertainment, as well as Robert Zemeckis (Back to the Future, Forest Gump) and Jack Rapke (Cast Away, Flight).
Soundtrack Album for NBC’s ‘bublé!’ TV Special Announced
Michael Bublé has announced a soundtrack album for his new NBC TV special bublé!. The album features a number of classics such as My Funny Valentine & Fly Me to the Moon, radio hits including Home and Everything, as well as songs from his latest album, Love. The soundtrack will be released digitally on March 21 by Reprise /Warner Bros. Records and will be available to download here. bublé! takes the audience on a musical journey through his career. The TV special, which marks the singer’s seventh for network and his first to receive a soundtrack release, will premiere this Wednesday, March 20 on NBC.

Premiering tomorrow, March 18, is the new ABC drama The Fix created by Elizabeth Craft, Sarah Fain & Marcia Clark and starring Robin Tunney, Adewale Akinnouye-Agbaje and Scott Cohen. The show’s original music is composed by Gregory Tripi (Ma, Manhunt: Unabomber, Dark Places, Rememory). Also premiering tomorrow is the documentary The Inventor: Out For Blood In Silicon Valley directed by Alex Gibney about the rise and fall of Theranos, the one-time multibillion-dollar healthcare company founded by Elizabeth Holmes. Will Bates (The Looming Tower, The Path, I Origins, The Magicians) has composed the film’s original music. David Schwartz Tapped as New Composer of HBO’s ‘Veep’
David Schwartz (Arrested Development, The Good Place, Northern Exposure) is the new composer of the HBO original series Veep. He is scoring the seventh and final season of the political comedy created by Armando Iannucci and starring Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Tony Hale, Anna Chlumsky, Matt Walsh, Reid Scott, Kevin Dunn, Gary Cole, Timothy Simons and Sam Richardson. David Mandel (Curb Your Enthusiasm, EuroTrip) serves as the showrunner of the new season and is executive producing the project with Frank Rich (Succession), Louis-Dreyfus, Lew Morton and Morgan Sackett (Parks and Recreation).
Soundtrack Album for ITV’s & Hulu’s ‘Butterfly’ to Be Released
Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the ITV mini-series Butterfly. The album features the show’s original music composed by Emmy Award winners Kyle Dixon & Michael Stein (Stranger Things, Valley of the Boom, Native Son). The soundtrack will be released digitally on March 22, 2019 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Butterfly is created by Tony Marchant and stars Anna Friel, Emmett J. Scanlan, Alison Steadman, Sean McGinley and Callum Booth-Ford. The 3-parter centers on the complex relationship between two separated parents and their division in opinion over how to support their youngest child.
CBS’ ‘The Red Line’ to Feature Music by Blake Neely & Sherri Chung
Blake Neely & Sherri Chung are scoring the upcoming CBS limited series The Red Line. The show is created by Caitlin Parrish & Erica Weiss and stars Noah Wyle, Emayatzy Corinealdi, Noel Fisher, Howard Charles, Aliyah Royale, Michael Patrick Thornton, Vinny Chhibber and Elizabeth Laidlaw. The 8-part drama follows three very different Chicago families as they journey toward hope and healing after a tragedy causes them all to consider how race and racial biases affect their lives. Ava DuVernay (Selma, A Wrinkle in Time) is executive producing the Warner Bros. Television & CBS Television Studios production with Greg Berlanti & Sarah Schechter, Parrish, Sunil Nayar (Revenge) and Kevin Hooks (Prison Break).
Jeff Russo Scoring Hulu’s ‘The Act’
Jeff Russo (Fargo, Legion, Star Trek: Discovery, The Night Of) is the composer of the new Hulu original series The Act. The show is created by Nick Antosca & Michelle Dean based on an original Buzzfeed article by Dean and stars Patricia Arquette, Joey King, Chloë Sevigny, AnnaSophia Robb and Calum Worthy. The first season of the anthology series follows a girl trying to escape the toxic relationship she has with her overprotective mother and opens a Pandora’s box of secrets, one that ultimately leads to murder. Antosca (The Forest) & Dean are also executive producing the project with Greg Shephard and Britton Rizzio (American Ultra).
Soundtrack Album for Lifetime’s ‘The Secret Life of Marilyn Monroe’ to Be Released
Strong Place Music will release a soundtrack album for the Lifetime mini-series The Secret Life of Marilyn Monroe. The album features the film’s original music composed by David Carbonara (Mad Men, The Guru, Spanking the Monkey, Are You Here, The Romanoffs). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, March 15 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. The Secret Life of Marilyn Monroe is directed by Laurie Collyer and stars Kelli Garner, Susan Sarandon, Emily Watson, Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Eva Amurri Martino. The 2-parter explores Monroe’s complicated relationships with her mother, foster mother and legal guardian, her struggles with mental illness and her ties with the Kennedys.
