Composer Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – Fallout, The LEGO Batman Movie, The Crown, Bad Boys for Life) is reuniting with director Matt Tyrnauer on the upcoming Showtime docu-series The Reagans. The show focuses on the rise and reign of America’s ultimate power couple. The 4-part series explores the many surprisingly unexamined aspects of the Reagan White House, and how Nancy Reagan’s paper-doll image was at odds with the power she ultimately wielded throughout her husband’s presidency. Tyrnauer is also executive producing the project with Corey Reeser and Stephen J. Morrison.

Chris ‘Ludacris’ Bridges & James Bennett Jr. to Create Original Music for Netflix’s ‘Karma’s World’
Netflix announced today that Chris ‘Ludacris’ Bridges & James Bennett Jr. will create the original music for the upcoming animated series Karma’s World. The show is created by Bridges and inspired by his oldest daughter Karma and tells the story of a young Black girl finding her voice and using it to change her world. The series will feature original songs about issues such as self-esteem, body positivity, discrimination, creativity and more. Bridges is also executive producing the project with Vince Commisso, Darragh O’Connell, Angela C. Santomero, Cathal Gaffney, Wendy Harris and Jennie Stacey from 9 Story Media Group (Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood).
‘Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts’ Season 3 Soundtrack Album Details
Back Lot Music will release a new soundtrack album for DreamWorks Animation’s Netflix series Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts. The album features selections of the original score from the show’s third and final season composed by Daniel Rojas (M.O.D.O.K., Starcrossed). Also included are five songs performed by VenessaMichaels ft. Keeley Bumford, Raymond J. Lee, Jake Green and Andra Gunter. The Season 3 Mixtape will be released digitally this Friday, October 16 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and all other major digital music services. The label has previously released two soundtracks featuring music from the series’ first and second season.
Robin Foster Scoring Amazon’s ‘Truth Seekers’
Robin Foster (Anthropoid, Untogether, Criminal, Metro Manila) has recently scored the new Amazon original series Truth Seekers. The show is created by Nick Frost & Simon Pegg, Nat Saunders & James Serafinowicz (Sick Note) and stars Frost & Pegg themselves, alongside Samson Kayo, Emma D’Arcy, Malcolm McDowell and Susan Wokoma. The supernatural comedy drama series centers on a team of part-time paranormal investigators who team up to uncover and film ghost sightings across the UK and share their adventures on an online channel for all to see.
Danny Bensi & Saunder Jurriaans Scoring Hulu’s ‘Helstrom’
Danny Bensi & Saunder Jurriaans (Ozark, Boy Erased, The Gift, Enemy, The Outsider, The Devil All the Time) are the composers of Marvel’s new Hulu original series Helstrom. The show is created by Paul Zbyszewski (Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) based on the Marvel Comics property and stars Tom Austen, Sydney Lemmon, Elizabeth Marvel, Ariana Guerra, Robert Wisdom and June Carryl. The drama follows siblings and supposed serial killer offspring Daimon & Ana Helstrom and their complicated dynamic, as they track down the worst of humanity — each with their own attitude and skills.
Harry Escott Scoring BBC’s ‘Roadkill’
Harry Escott (Shame, Hard Candy, A Mighty Heart, Welcome to the Punch, The English Game) has composed the original score for the new BBC drama Roadkill. The show is created by David Hare (The Hours, The Reader) and stars Hugh Laurie, Helen McCrory, Sidse Babett Knudsen, Saskia Reeves, Sarah Greene, Patricia Hodge, Ophelia Lovibond, Iain De Caestecker, Katie Leung, Olivia Vinall, Pippa Bennett-Warner, Shalom Brune-Franklin and Pip Torrens. The 4-part political thriller follows a self-made, forceful and charismatic politician whose public and private life is being picked apart by his enemies.
Soundtrack Album for BBC Series ‘Life’ Released
A soundtrack album has been released for the BBC series Life. The album features selections of the original music from the show composed by Guy Garvey, Paul Saunderson & Peter Jobson (Trying, Dead in a Week Or Your Money Back, The More You Ignore Me, Cleaning Up). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and other digital music services. Life is created & written by Mike Bartlett and stars Alison Steadman, Peter Davison, Adrian Lester, Victoria Hamilton (who is reprising her role from Doctor Foster), Rachael Stirling, Melissa Johns, Saira Choudhry, Calvin Demba, Erin Kellyman and Joshua James. The 6-part drama is set in Manchester and follows the stories of the residents of a large house divided into four flats.

Premiering tomorrow, October 12, is the second episode of the AMC anthology series Soulmates created by Will Bridges & Brett Goldstein. Episode 2, entitled The Lovers, is directed by Rob Savage and stars David Costabile, Sonya Cassidy, Karima McAdams and Henry Goodman. Michael Price (Sherlock, Dracula, Wild Target, A Fantastic Fear of Everything, Unforgotten, Another Me) has composed the episode’s original music. Premiering on Tuesday, October 13, as part of Amazon’s Welcome to the Blumhouse series, is the supernatural horror thriller Nocturne written and directed by Zu Quirke and starring Sydney Sweeney, Madison Iseman, Ivan Shaw and Jacques Colimon. The film’s original music is composed by British EDM artist Gazelle Twin (aka Elizabeth Bernholz). Silva Screen Records has announced a soundtrack album for the BBC & AMC limited series The Little Drummer Girl. The album features the show’s original music composed by Cho Young-wuk (Oldboy, Lady Vengeance, Thirst, The Handmaiden). The album features selections of the original music from the final season over the show composed by Adrian Corker (The Village, Waiting for You).
