Walt Disney Records will release a soundtrack album for Disney+’s High School Musical: The Musical: The Holiday Special. The album features the songs from the TV special, including The Perfect Gift written and performed by Joshua Bassett (featured in the trailer, which can be checked out after the jump), a sneak peek of Something in the Air, the first major musical number of the show’s second season, as well as tracks performed by cast members Sofia Wylie, Frankie Rodriguez, Joe Serafini, Julia Lester, Matt Cornett, Larry Saperstein,Dara Reneé, Olivia Rodrigo, Kate Reinders and Mark St. Cyr. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, November 20 and will be available to stream/download here, where you can also check out audio samples.

ABC’s ‘Big Sky’ to Feature Original Score by Trevor Morris
Trevor Morris (Vikings, The Tudors, Immortals, The Borgias, Olympus/London Has Fallen) is scoring the new ABC drama Big Sky. The show is created by David E. Kelley (Big Little Lies, Ally McBeal, The Practice) based on the series of books by C.J. Box, and stars Katheryn Winnick, Kylie Bunbury, Brian Geraghty, Dedee Pfeiffer, Natalie Alyn Lind, Jade Pettyjohn, Jesse James Keitel, Valerie Mahaffey, John Carroll Lynch and Ryan Phillippe. The series follows two private detectives who join forces with an ex-cop to search for two sisters who have been kidnapped by a truck driver on a remote highway in Montana.
Soundtrack Album for HBO’s ‘Industry’ to Be Released
LuckyMe Records will release a soundtrack album for the HBO original series Industry. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s first season composed by Nathan Micay. The soundtrack will be released digitally on December 4, 2020 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon and other digital music stores. A first track is already available to stream/download here and can also be checked out after the jump. A vinyl edition is set to come out in early 2021. Industry is created by Mickey Down & Konrad Kay and stars Myha’la Herrold, Marisa Abela, Harry Lawtey, David Jonsson, Nabhaan Rizwan, Conor MacNeill and Ken Leung. The drama follows an ambitious group of graduates as they compete for a limited number of permanent positions at a leading bank in London, while being thrown head-first into the exhilarating world of international finance.
Chad Rehmann to Score Paramount Network’s ‘Dashing in December’
Chad Rehmann (Camp Cold Brook, The Funhouse Massacre, Dream Killer) has been tapped to score the upcoming Paramount Network original movie Dashing in December. The film is written and directed by Jake Helgren and stars Juan Pablo Di Pace, Peter Porte, Caroline Harris and Andie MacDowell. The drama centers on a sophisticated, New York City financier who returns home for the holidays in an effort to convince his mother to sell the family’s ranch and beloved magical Winter Wonderland attraction, when an unexpected romance ignites. The movie also features original songs from Cody Belew, Fancy Hagood and Styles Haury.

Premiering tonight is the Showtime docu-series The Reagans directed and executive produced by Matt Tyrnauer about the rise and reign of America’s ultimate power couple, Ronald & Nancy Reagan. The show’s original music is composed by Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – Fallout, The LEGO Batman Movie, His Dark Materials, The Crown, Home, Bad Boys for Life) who previously scored Tyrnauer’s features Studio 54 and Where’s My Roy Cohn?. Premiering on Wednesday, November 18, is the documentary Crazy, Not Insane directed and produced by Alex Gibney about Dr. Dorothy Otnow Lewis, a psychiatrist who has dedicated her career to studying murderers and seeking answers as to why people kill. Will Bates (Unbelievable, Away, I Origins, The Magicians, The Looming Tower, Nightflyers) who has previously scored numerous of Gibney’s documentaries has composed the film’s original music. The movie, which premiered at this year’s Copenhagen International Documentary Festival and also screened at the 2020 Venice Film Festival will debut in the U.S. exclusively on HBO and HBO Max.
Alex Geringas Scoring Peacock’s & Hulu’s ‘TrollsTopia’
Alex Geringas is the composer of DreamWorks Animation’s new Peacock and Hulu original series TrollsTopia. The show is inspired by the studio’s Trolls feature films (scored by Christophe Beck & Theodore Shapiro) and features the voices of Skylar Astin, Amanda Leighton, David Flynn, Ron Funches, Kenan Thompson, Megan Hilty, Jeanine Mason, Kat Graham and Kevin Michael Richardson. The series follows Poppy as she bottles up her endless positivity and invites delegates from every Troll tribe in the forest to live together in harmony in a grand experiment she calls TrollsTopia. Matthew Beans serves as executive producer.
Soundtrack Album for Hulu’s ‘No Man’s Land’ Released
Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album for the Hulu original series No Man’s Land. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Rutger Hoedemaekers (Trapped, The Last Berliner). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and other digital music stores. No Man’s Land is created Maria Feldman, Eitan Mansuri, Amit Cohen & Ron Leshem and stars Félix Moati, Mélanie Thierry, Souheila Yacoub, Joe Ben Ayed, James Floyd, Dean Ridge and James Purefoy. The 8-part drama directed by Oded Ruskin is set against the backdrop of the Syrian War and follows a young French man who, while unraveling the mystery of his estranged, presumed to be dead sister, ends up joining forces with a unit of Kurdish female fighters and travels with them in ISIS occupied territory.
Soundtrack Album for ITV’s ‘Agatha Christie’s Marple’ Released
MovieScore Media has released the first-ever soundtrack album for the ITV series Agatha Christie’s Marple based on books and short stories by Agatha Christie and starring Geraldine McEwan (seasons 1-3) and Julia McKenzie (seasons 4-6) in the title role. The album features selections of the show’s score composed by Emmy Award nominee Dominik Scherrer (The Missing, Ripper Street, Requiem, The Widow, The City and the City, Primeval), as well as the composer’s Agatha Christie’s Marple theme. Agatha Christie’s Marple premiered in the UK between 2004 and 2013 on ITV and aired in the U.S. (as Miss Marple) on PBS.
Alex Geringas to Score Netflix’s ‘Arlo the Alligator Boy’ Movie and TV Series
Netflix announced today that Alex Geringas (Woody Woodpecker, Impractical Jokers, Trolls: The Beat Goes On!) is composing the original music for the upcoming animated musical Arlo the Alligator Boy. The film is directed by Ryan Crego and features the voices of Michael J. Woodard, Mary Lambert, Michael “Flea” Balzary, Annie Potts, Tony Hale, Brett Gelman, Jonathan Van Ness, Haley Tju, Jennifer Coolidge and Vincent Rodriguez III. The movie tells the story of a wide-eyed boy, who is half human and half alligator, who learns that he is from New York City and decides to leave his sheltered life in the swamp and search for his long lost father. Blake Lemons will serve as the project’s supervising producer.
Anna Hauss’ Song ‘I Can’t Remember Love’ from Netflix’s ‘The Queen’s Gambit’ Released
Maisie Music Publishing has released the song I Can’t Remember Love from the Netflix limited series The Queen’s Gambit. The track, which is featured in the sixth episode of the show, is written and performed by Anna Hauss & Robert Wienröder and features lyrics by executive producer William Horberg.
