Milan Records will release a soundtrack album for the Netflix original anime series Pacific Rim: The Black. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s first season composed by Brandon Campbell (Slender Man, The Letter for the King, The Thinning, Amazing Stories) who previously served as a score coordinator on Guillermo del Toro’s Pacific Rim feature for composer Ramin Djawadi. The soundtrack will be released digitally this coming Friday, March 5 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A first track (The Black) is already available now and can be checked out after the jump. Pacific Rim: The Black is created by Greg Johnson & Craig Kyle and features the voices of Gideon Adlon, Calum Worthy and Erica Lindbeck. The show inspired by the 2013/2018 features centers on two siblings who pilot a Jaeger to search for their parents after Kaiju ravage Australia and encounter new creatures, seedy characters and chance allies.

Weekly TV Music Roundup (February 28, 2021)
Premiering tomorrow, March 1, is the NBC mystery drama Debris created by J.H. Wyman and starring Jonathan Tucker, Riann Steele, Norbert Leo Butz and Scroobius Pip. The show’s original music is composed by Raney Shockne (Queen of the South, Anger Management, The To Do List, Kevin Can Wait, The Wedding Year). The series, which revolves around a secretive international agency that is tasked with the mystery of a wreckage that starts falling from the sky, will air every Monday night on NBC. Also premiering tomorrow is the Netflix documentary Biggie: I Got a Story to Tell directed by Emmett Malloy and executive produced by Sean Combs, Voletta Wallace, Mark Pitts, Stanley Buchthal & Brendan Malloy about the life of one of the most influential rappers. Adam Peters (Savages, Icarus, Snowden, Sand Castle, The Dissident) has composed the film’s original score. Rhino Atlantic will release a soundtrack album featuring fourteen tracks by The Notorious B.I.G. Tom Holkenborg (Junkie XL) to Score George Miller’s ‘Furiosa’ and Netflix’s ‘Army of the Dead’ Prequel & Anime Series
Tom Holkenborg (aka Junkie XL) confirmed during a recent appearance on the Film Junkee Vodka Stream that he is attached to score George Miller’s upcoming Mad Max: Fury Road prequel Furiosa. The film will star Anya Taylor-Joy in the title role, alongside Chris Hemsworth and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. Miller (The Witches of Eastwick, Happy Feet, Baby: Pig in the City) is co-writing the screenplay with Nick Lathouris and is also producing the project with Doug Mitchell (Babe, Dead Calm). Holkenborg (Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, Alita: Battle Angel, Black Mass, Divergent) has previously scored 2015’s Mad Max: Fury Road and is also collaborating with Miller on the upcoming Three Thousand Years of Longing.
Soundtrack Album for Netflix’s ‘Kid Cosmic’ to Be Released
Maisie Music Publishing will release the first soundtrack album for the Netflix animated series Kid Cosmic. The soundtrack features selections of the original music from the show composed by Andy Bean (Muppet Babies, Puppy Dog Pals). The Kid Cosmic and the Sonic Courage album will be released digitally tomorrow, February 26 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and other digital music services. Kid Cosmic is created by Craig McCracken and features the voices of Jack Fisher, Tom Kenny, Amanda C. Miller, Kim Yarbrough, Keith Ferguson, Grey Griffin and Lily Rose Silver. The animated comedy centers on a boy whose superhero dreams come true when he finds five powerful cosmic stones, but saving the day is harder than he imagined.
Details for ‘The Flash’ Seasons 5 & 6 Soundtrack Albums Revealed
WaterTower Music will release two new soundtrack albums for The CW superhero drama The Flash have been revealed. The albums feature selections of the original music from the show’s fifth and sixth season composed by Blake Neely (The Flight Attendant, Supergirl, Greyhound, Riverdale) and Nathaniel Blume (Arrow, Prodigal Son, Deception). Peacock’s ‘Punky Brewster’ Revival to Feature Original Music by Linda Perry
Singer/songwriter Linda Perry (of the former rock band 4 Non Blondes) is the composer of the new Peacock original series Punky Brewster. The show is developed by Steve & Jim Armogida (School of Rock) based on the classic 80s sitcom and stars Soleil Moon Frye and Cherie Johnson who reprise their roles from the original series. They are joined by new cast members Freddie Prinze Jr., Quinn Copeland, Noah Cottrell, Oliver De Los Santos and Lauren Lindsey Donzis. The comedy follows Punky, who is now a single mother of three, as she is trying to get her life back on track when she meets a young girl in the foster system who reminds her a lot of her younger self.
Sherri Chung to Score The CW’s ‘Kung Fu’
Sherri Chung (Batwoman, Blindspot, Riverdale, The Lost Husband) has been tapped to score the upcoming CW drama Kung Fu. The show is developed by Christina M. Kim (inspired by the original 70s series created by Ed Spielman) and stars Olivia Liang, Kheng Hua Tan, Shannon Dang, Jon Prasida, Eddie Liu, Gavin Stenhouse, Vanessa Kai,Tony Chung and Tzi Ma. The series revolves around a young Chinese American woman who returns to San Francisco from a life-changing journey to an isolated monastery in China and, when she finds her hometown overrun with crime and corruption, relies on her martial arts skills and Shaolin values to protect her community and bring criminals to justice.
First Song from Netflix’s ‘Ginny & Georgia’ Soundtrack Released

‘Meerkat: A Dynasties Special’ Soundtrack Album Details Announced
Silva Screen Records has announced the details of the full soundtrack album for the BBC Earth documentary Meerkat: A Dynasties Special. The album features the original music from the special composed by Benji Merrison (SAS: Red Notice, Strange Magic) and Will Slater (One Strange Rock, Africa, Planet Earth Live) who previously scored the original 2018 Dynasties series. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, February 26 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music stores. The label has previously released a 4-track EP featuring four score suites written by the composers last year. Meerkat: A Dynasties Special is produced and directed by Emma Napper, narrated by Sir David Attenborough follows the young meerkat queen Maghogho and her family battling to survive in hostile environment, during a drought.
