Tree Adams (The 100, Californication, Perception, Belushi) is returning to the NCIS franchise as the composer of its fourth series NCIS: Hawai’i. The show is created by Matt Bosack, Jan Nash & Christopher Silber and stars Vanessa Lachey, Alex Tarrant, Noah Mills, Yasmine Al-Bustami, Jason Antoon, Tori Anderson and Kian Talan. The series folllows Special Agent in Charge of NCIS Pearl Harbor Jane Tennant, who, with her unwavering team of specialists, balances duty, family and country, while investigating crimes involving military personnel, national security and the mysteries of the sun-drenched island paradise.

Soundtrack EPs for Amazon’s ‘Do, Re & Mi’ Released
Capitol Records has released two soundtrack EPs for the Amazon animated series Do, Re & Mi. The EPs feature the songs from the show written by David Schuler & Jackie Tohn and performed by cast members including Kristen Bell, Tohn herself, Luke Youngblood & others. The Rare Birdies Sing Together EP is available to stream/download here and the Sing & Celebrate EP is available here. Premiering tonight is the PBS documentary Muhammad Ali directed and executive produced by Ken Burns, Sarah Burns & David McMahon about the iconic heavyweight boxing champion who became an inspiration to people everywhere. The film’s original music is composed by songwriter and hip hop record producer Jahlil Beats. A soundtrack album featuring the artist’s music has been released today. Premiering tomorrow, September 20 is the Fox comedy drama The Big Leap created by Liz Heldens and starring Scott Foley, Simone Recasner, Piper Perabo, Jon Rudnitsky, Ser’Darius Blain, Raymond Cham, Jr., Kevin Daniels, Mallory Jansen, Anna Grace Barlow and Teri Polo. Joe Wong (The Midnight Gospel, Master of None, To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, Russian Doll) is composing the show’s original score. A first song from the series (Just Like Heaven produced by Wong and performed by Eryn Allen Kane) was released this past week. James S. Levine Scoring NBC’s ‘Ordinary Joe’
James S. Levine (Glee, Nip/Tuck, American Horror Story, Damages, Bloodline, Star, The Last Ship) is scoring the new NBC drama Ordinary Joe. The show is created by Matt Reeves (The Batman, War for/Dawn of the Planet of the Apes), developed by Russel Friend & Garrett Lerner (House, Home Before Dark) and stars James Wolk, Natalie Martinez, Elizabeth Lail, Charlie Barnett, David Warshofsky, Anne Ramsay, Kai A. Ealy, John Gluck and Adam Rodriguez. The drama explores the three parallel lives of the title character after he makes a pivotal choice at a crossroads in his life.
Christophe Beck to Score Marvel’s ‘Hawkeye’ TV Series
Christophe Beck (Frozen, Edge of Tomorrow, The Hangover, The Muppets, Buffy the Vampire Slayer) has been tapped to score Marvel Studios’ upcoming Disney+ limited series Hawkeye. The show is helmed by Rhys Thomas (Staten Island Summer) & directing duo Bert and Bertie (Troop Zero) and stars Jeremy Renner in the title role, alongside Hailee Steinfeld, Vera Farmiga, Fra Fee, Tony Dalton, Zahn McClarnon, Brian d’Arcy James and Alaqua Cox. The series is set in post-blip New York City and follows former Avenger Clint Barton who is forced together with Kate Bishop, a 22-year-old archer with dreams of becoming a Super Hero, when a presence from Barton’s past appears.
Soundtrack Album for Starz’s ‘Blindspotting’ TV Series Released
Lionsgate Records has released a soundtrack album for the Starz original series Blindspotting. The album features selections of the original score from the show’s first season composed by Ambrose Akinmusire and Michael Yezerski (The Tax Collector, The Devil’s Candy, Feel the Beat, The Vigil) who previously scored the 2018 feature of the same title, intermixed with spoken word elements by the cast, including Jasmine Cephas-Jones, Benjamin Earl Turner and Rafael Casal. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on all major digital music platforms, including Amazon. Blindspotting is created by Casal & Daveed Diggs and also stars Candace Nicholas-Lippman, Atticus Woodward, Jaylen Barron and Helen Hunt. The Lionsgate Television production centers on the character of Ashley, who is nipping at the heels of a middle class life in Oakland until her partner of twelve years and father of their son is suddenly incarcerated.
‘Sex Education’ Season 3 Soundtrack EP Released
Ice Chest Musick has released a new soundtrack EP for the Netflix original series Sex Education. The 5-track EP features three new songs from the third season of the show written and performed by Ezra Furman (and produced by series composer Oli Julian), as well as two tracks by Furman and his former band The Harpoons. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on all major digital music platforms, including Amazon. Also listen to all five tracks below. Bella Union has previously released a full soundtrack album featuring Furman’s songs from the first seasons. Soundtrack Album for Apple TV+’s ‘Foundation’ to Be Released
Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the Apple TV+ original series Foundation. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s first season composed by Emmy Award winner Bear McCreary (Godzilla: King of the Monsters, Outlander, 10 Cloverfield Lane, Battlestar Galactica, Happy Death Day, Colossal) . The soundtrack will be released digitally next Friday, September 24 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon and other digital music services. Foundation is developed by David S. Goyer & Josh Friedman based on Isaac Asimov’s sci-fi novels and stars Jared Harris, Lee Pace, Lou Llobell, Leah Harvey, Terrence Mann, Laura Birn, Cassian Bilton and Alfred Enoch. The drama follows a band of exiles on their monumental journey to save humanity and rebuild civilization amid the fall of the Galactic Empire.
