Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the crime thriller By Any Means directed by Elegance Bratton and starring Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Mark Wahlberg, David Strathairn, Nicole Beharie, LisaGay Hamilton,Ethan Embry, Josh Lucas, LaChanze and Giancarlo Esposito. The film’s original score is composed by Terence Blanchard (Malcolm X, BlacKkKlansman, Inside Man, The Woman King, 25th Hour, Perry Mason, Da 5 Bloods, Love & Basketball). A soundtrack album featuring the composer’s music is expected to be released in the coming weeks by Lakeshore Records. AB Records has released the original title song written by Diane Warren and performed by David Kushner & The Isley Brothers last Friday and will release a separate album featuring more songs on September 18. Also opening wide is the action/horror movie Onslaught directed by Adam Wingard, written by Simon Barrett and starring Adria Arjona, Dan Stevens, Drew Starkey, Reginald VelJohnson, Eric Wareheim, Rebecca Hall, Michael Biehn and Alex Pereira. Matthew Pusti (aka Makeup and Vanity Set) (A Good Woman Is Hard to Find, The Girlfriend Experience) has composed the film’s original music. The album features the film’s original music composed by Matthew Atticus Berger (A Party to Die For, Patrick and the Whale, Bending the Arc, Dead in the Water, Christmas Harmony). Amanda Achen is the featured vocalist on all tracks. The soundtrack will be released digitally on September 18 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon.
