ABKCO Records has released a soundtrack album for The Durrells. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Ruth Barrett (Bodyguard, Harry Brown, Collateral, Victoria) & Jon Wygens (Flying Blind). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. The label has previously released Barrett’s theme song from the series. The Durrells is created by Simon Nye and stars Keeley Hawes, Josh O’Connor, Callum Woodhouse, Daisy Waterstone and Milo Parker. The drama is based on Gerald Durrell’s memoirs and tell the story of a woman who makes a radical change and uproots her four unruly children from Bournemouth, England to start a new life in Corfu in the 1930s.

Ruth Barrett is composing the music for the upcoming BBC drama Bodyguard. The show is created by Jed Mercurio (Line of Duty) and stars Richard Madden, Keeley Hawes, Gina McKee, Sophie Rundle, Vincent Franklin and Rowena King. The 6-part thriller tells the story of a heroic but volatile war veteran now working as a Specialist Protection Officer for the Royalty and Specialist Protection Branch (RaSP) of London’s Metropolitan Police Service. Mercurio is also executive producing the project with Simon Heath for World Productions and Elizabeth Kilgarriff for BBC.

The series, which follows detective who seeks to enforce the law and protect their loved ones in a world that every day slips closer to certain destruction, premiered in January in the UK on BBC One and is making its U.S. debut on Wednesday on Hulu.
Also premiering on Wednesday is the new CW comedy drama Life Sentence created by Erin Cardillo & Richard Keith and starring Lucy Hale, Carlos PenaVega, Elliot Knight, Dylan Walsh, Gillian Vigman, Jayson Blair and Brooke Lyons. The composing duo of WAZ-Jackson (Cougar Town, Surviving Jack) is composing the show’s original music. The series follows a young woman who was diagnosed with terminal cancer and has to learn to live with the choices she made when she decided to “live like she was dying”. The movie is set in modern-day London and centers around a a seemingly straightforward missing-person case that launches a down-at-heel private eye into a dangerous world of religious fanaticism and political intrigue.
