Rickey Minor has been tapped to compose the music for the upcoming NBC comedy Mr. Robinson. The show is created by Robb & Mark Cullen (Back in the Game, Cop Out) and stars Craig Robinson, Ben Koldyke, Amandla Stenberg, Brandon T. Jackson, Peri Gilpin, Spencer Grammer and Tim Bagley. The series follows a man who jams in a rock band called Nasty Delicious that has been unsuccessfully trying to break out for a decade at night and also has a gig as a substitute music teacher with the Chicago School District by day. Robb and Mark Cullen are also executive producing the Universal Television and 3 Arts Entertainment production with Howard Klein (The Office, Parks and Recreation, The Mindy Project), Mark Schulman and Andy Ackerman (Seinfeld, The New Adventures of Old Christine) who also directed the pilot episode.

Premiering tonight is the NBC event series A.D. executive produced by Mark Burnett & Roma Downey and starring Juan Pablo di Pace, Vincent Regan, Greta Scacchi, Aniss Elkohen, Richard Coyle, Babou Ceesay, Chipo Chung, Cesare Taurasi and Adam Levy. Hans Zimmer (The Dark Knight, Gladiator, The Lion King) and Lorne Balfe (Home, Penguins of Madagascar) have composed the music for the 12-parter. Also premiering tonight is the new NBC drama American Odyssey created by Peter Horton and starring Anna Friel, Peter Facinelli, Jake Robinson, Jim True-Forst, Treat Williams, Nate Mooney, Elena Kampouris, Daniella Pineda, Sadie Sink, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje and Omar Ghazaoui. The show’s original music is composed by John Debney (The Passion of the Christ, Iron Man 2, Elf, Hatfield & McCoys). Premiering on Wednesday night is the new comedy Big Time in Hollywood, FL created by Dan Schmipf & Alex Anfanger and starring Lenny Jacobson and Anfanger, as well as Cuba Gooding, Jr., Michael Madsen, Kathy Baker, Stephen Tobolowsky, Jon Bass, Keith David and Marcus Giamatti. The show’s original music is composed by Leo Birenberg (Red Army). Big Time in Hollywood, FL follows two delusional brothers as they are kicked out of their parents’ house and forced to fend for themselves for the first time in their lives, leading them on a journey in pursuit of their American dream. Soundtrack for NBC’s ‘Chuck’ to Be Released
Varese Sarabande will release the first soundtrack album for the NBC spy comedy drama Chuck. The album features selections from the show’s original music composed by Tim Jones (Human Target, The Death and Life of Bobby Z). Also included are three songs by the cover band Jeffster feat. Jeff Barnes (played by Scott Krinsky) and Lester Patel (Vik Sahay). The soundtrack will be released on April 7, 2015 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Chuck created by Chris Fedak & Josh Schwartz and stars Zachary Levi, Yvonne Strahovski, Adam Baldwin and Joshua Gomez. The show about a twenty-something computer geek who inadvertently downloads critical government secrets into his brain aired from 2007 and 2012 on NBC.

Premiering tonight is the AMC original series Better Call Saul created by Vince Gilligan & Peter Gould and starring Bob Odenkirk. The show is a spin-off of AMC’s Breaking Bad and features original music composed by Dave Porter (The Blacklist). Better Call Saul focuses on the character of attorney Saul Goodman from the Emmy-winning hit drama, which was also scored by Porter for its full five season run. Jon Ehrlich Scoring NBC’s ‘The Slap’
Jon Ehrlich is composing the music for the upcoming NBC mini-series The Slap. The 8-parter is directed by Lisa Cholodenko (The Kids Are All Right, Olive Kitteridge) and stars Peter Saarsgard, Thandie Newton, Uma Thurman, Zachary Quinto, Melissa George, Thomas Sadoski and Brian Cox. The drama is based on the book by Christos Tsiolkas and the Australian television series of the same title and centers on a once happy family that suddenly begins to fall apart following a seemingly minor incident in which a man slaps another couple’s misbehaving child.
H. Scott Salinas to Score NBC’s ‘Allegiance’
H. Scott Salinas is composing the music for the upcoming NBC drama Allegiance. The show is created by George Nolfi (The Adjustment Bureau) and stars Hope Davis, Scott Cohen, Gavin Stenhouse, Margarita Levieva, Morgan Spector, Kenneth Choi and Alex Peters. The series follows a young idealistic CIA analyst specializing in Russian affairs whose parents and sister are part of a dormant Russian sleeper cell that has just been reactivated. Nolfi is also executive producing the Universal Television, Keshet Media and Yes! production with Avi Nir (Homeland, Tyrant), Ron Leshem, Amit Cohen, Giyora Yahalom, Yona Wiesenthal, John Glenn (Hatfield & McCoys, Eagle Eye) and Rashad Raisani.
‘Chicago Fire’ Season 1 & 2 Soundtrack Details
Lakeshore Records will release two soundtrack albums for the NBC drama Chicago Fire. The albums feature selections from the show’s original music composed by Atli Orvasson (Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters, Vantage Point, The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones). The Season 2 soundtrack will be released digitally on January 6, 2015 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The release date info for the Season 1 album will be added to this page soon. Premiering tonight is the Hallmark Hall of Fame movie One Christmas Eve directed by Jay Russell and starring Anne Heche. The film’s original music is composed by William Ross (Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, The Tale of Desperaux) who previously scored Russell’s Ladder 49, My Dog Skip and Tuck Everlasting and Jerome Leroy. Momentum RLP Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score earlier this week. Premiering on Tuesday, December 2, is the Disney/Pixar holiday special Toy Story That Time Forgot directed by Steve Purcell and featuring the voices of Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Kristen Schaal, Kevin McKidd, Wallace Shawn, Timothy Dalton, Don Rickles and Joan Cusack. Michael Giacchino (Star Trek, Lost, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes) who previously scored last year’s Toy Story of Terror, as well as Pixar’s The Incredibles, Ratatouille, Up and Cars 2 has composed the special’s original music.
