La-La Land Records has announced the world premiere release of the score for Warner Bros. Pictures’ 1991 action thriller The Last Boy Scout directed by Tony Scott, produced by Joel Silver and starring Bruce Willis, Damon Wayans and Danielle Harris. The film’s original music is composed and conducted by Michael Kamen (Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, X-Men, The Iron Giant, Brazil) who previously scored the Silver-produced first installments of the Die Hard and Lethal Weapon franchises. The album, which also features a couple of unused, extended and alternate cues, is limited to 3000 copies. Intrada Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the 1987 action adventure Adventures in Babysitting directed by Chris Columbus and starring Elisabeth Shue, Keith Coogan, Anthony Rapp and Maia Brewton. The album features the film’s original music composed and conducted by Michael Kamen (Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, X-Men, Brazil, Die Hard, Lethal Weapon). Varese Sarabande has announced the latest titles in the CD Club series. Among the titles is a deluxe edition for Star Trek: Nemesis, the tenth feature in the series and the final movie with the Next Generation crew, directed by Stuart Baird and starring Jonathan Frakes, Patrick Stewart, Brent Spiner, Tom Hardy and Marina Sirtis. The album includes the world premiere release of the complete score composed and conducted by Jerry Goldsmith (The Omen, Planet of the Apes, Patton) who previously scored Star Trek: The Motion Picture, The Final Frontier, First Contact and Insurrection. La-La Land Records has announced a 8-CD box set for the action comedy series Lethal Weapon directed by Richard Donner and starring Mel Gibson and Danny Glover. The albums feature the original scores from all four movies composed by Michael Kamen (Die Hard, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves), Eric Clapton and David Sanborn. The scores for the first three installments have been expanded beyond their original soundtrack albums and the score for Lethal Weapon 4 makes its world premiere on the set. The albums also feature alternate cues, as well as cues that were unused in the final film. Also included are the songs from the films by artists including Sting, Elton John, George Harrison and The Beach Boys. ‘Back to Gaya’ Soundtrack by Michael Kamen Announced
MovieScore Media has announced a soundtrack release for the German animated film Back to Gaya. The album is dedicated to Academy Award-nominated composer Michael Kamen who passed away during the composing process and the production of the film. The score was completed with a selection of Kamen’s unused compositions from previous film projects by a team headed by the composer’s long-time associates Steve McLaughlin and Christopher Brooks, including Ilan Eshkeri and Robert Elhai.
