Intrada Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1984 sci-fi classic The Last Starfighter directed by Nick Castle and starring Lance Guest, Dan O’Herlihy, Robert Preston and Catherine Mary Stewart. The album features the complete score from the film composed and conducted by Craig Safan (Cheers, Stand and Deliver, A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master), including previously unreleased music. The soundtrack is now available to order on Amazon and on the label’s official website, where you can also listen to audio clips and check out the full details of the CD.

‘Die Hard 2’ and ‘Enemy Mine’ Soundtrack Deluxe Editions Announced
Varese Sarabande has announced the newest titles in the label’s CD Club series. Among the latest releases is a deluxe edition for the 1991 action thriller sequel Die Hard 2 – Die Harder directed by Renny Harlin and starring Bruce Willis, Dennis Franz, John Amos and Bonnie Bedelia. The film’s music is composed and conducted by Michael Kamen (Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, Lethal Weapon) who has scored the first three part in the Die Hard series. The 2-CD set includes the composer’s score from the film, as well as several alternates and the end credits piece Finlandia composed by Jean Sibelius.
