Hollywood Records has released the full concert album for the ABC drama Lost. We Have to Go Back: The LOST Concert features the Emmy Award-winning music from the hit series composed and conducted by Michael Giacchino (Up, Star Trek, Jurassic World, Ratatouille, The Incredibles, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story) recorded this past June at the National Concert Hall in Dublin, Ireland with the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon Music, where you can also listen to audio samples. A vinyl edition is being released by Mondo.

First Track from ‘Lost’ Concert Album Released
Hollywood Records has released the first track from the concert album for the ABC drama Lost. Parting Words (written for the first part of the show’s Season 1 finale) composed and conducted by Michael Giacchino (Up, The Incredibles, Jurassic World, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Star Trek) and performed by the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra is now available as a digital single on Amazon. The full We Have to Go Back: The Lost Concert album will be released on November 15 by Mondo on vinyl. A digital release is also expected. Giacchino’s music from all six seasons of Lost was released on multiple albums between 2005 and 2010 by Varese Sarabande.

Two new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the fantasy adventure Maleficent: Mistress of Evil directed by Joachim Rønning and starring Angelina Jolie, Elle Fanning, Michelle Pfeiffer, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Sam Riley, Ed Skrein, Imelda Staunton, Juno Temple and Lesley Manville. The film’s original music is composed Geoff Zanelli (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, Disturbia, Christopher Robin). Also opening wide is the horror comedy Zombieland: Double Tap directed by Ruben Fleischer and starring Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone, Abigail Breslin, Rosario Dawson, Zoey Deutch and Luke Wilson. David Sardy (21, End of Watch, Bright, Premium Rush) who has composed the music for the 2009 original movie has composed the sequel’s original score. Michael Giacchino to Score Matt Reeves’ ‘The Batman’
Michael Giacchino confirmed at tonight’s Settling the Score concert at Royal Albert Hall in London that he will be scoring the upcoming superhero movie The Batman. The film is directed by Matt Reeves and stars Robert Pattinson in the title role, Paul Dano as the Riddler, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman and Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Gordon. Dylan Clark (Oblivion, Bird Box) is producing the project. Giacchino has previously collaborated with Reeves on his last four features Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, War for the Planet of the Apes, Cloverfield and Let Me In.
‘Jojo Rabbit’ Soundtrack Details
The details of the soundtrack album for Taika Waititi’s comedy drama Jojo Rabbit have been revealed. The album features the songs from the movie, including The Beatles’ Komm gib mir deine Hand, David Bowie’s Helden, Tom Waits’ I Don’t Wanna Grow Up, Roy Orbison’s Mama, LOVE’s Everybody’s Gotta Live, as well as classical pieces by Charles Gounod, Johann Strauss II & more. Also included are three tracks from the film’s original score composed by Michael Giacchino (a full score album is being released separately as reported earlier today). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, October 18 by Hollywood Records and will be available to stream and download here.

The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award winner Michael Giacchino (Up, Lost, Jurassic World, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, The Incredibles, Star Trek, Ratatouille, Doctor Strange). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, October 18 and will be available to stream and download on Amazon Music, where you can also check out audio samples. A separate album featuring the songs from the movie will also be released tomorrow. Jojo Rabbit is written and directed by Waititi and stars Roman Griffin Davis, Thomasin McKenzie, Scarlett Johansson, Waititi himself, Sam Rockwell, Rebel Wilson, Alfie Allen and Stephen Merchant.
Michael Giacchino to Score David Silverman’s ‘Extinct’
Michael Giacchino has been hired to score the upcoming animated adventure comedy Extinct. He will be co-scoring the project with his son, Mick Giacchino. The film is directed by David Silverman (The Simpsons Movie, Monsters, Inc.) and features the voices of Adam Devine, Rachel Bloom, Zazie Beetz, Ken Jeong, Jim Jefferies, Catherine O’Hara, Reggie Watts and Alex Borstein. The movie follows two donut-shaped animals called flummels as they accidentally time-travel from 1835 to modern-day Shanghai where they discover traffic, trans fats, and the fact that flummels have become extinct.
Michael Giacchino & Nami Melumad to Score Brandon Trost’s ‘An American Pickle’
Michael Giacchino (Up, Star Trek, Lost, Jurassic World, The Incredibles, Ratatouille) is teaming up with Nami Melumad (Absentia) to score the upcoming comedy An American Pickle. The film marks the feature solo directorial debut of cinematographer Brandon Trost and stars Seth Rogen, Maya Erskine and Sarah Snook. The movie revolves around an immigrant worker at a pickle factory who is accidentally preserved for a century and wakes up in modern day Brooklyn. Simon Rich (Man Seeking Woman, Miracle Workers) wrote the screenplay. Rogen is also producing the Point Grey production with Evan Goldberg (This Is the End, The Interview) and James Weaver (Neighbors, The Disaster Artist).

Sony Classical will release a soundtrack album for Marvel Studios’ Spider-Man: Far from Home. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award winner Michael Giacchino (Up, Lost, Star Trek, Jurassic World, Ratatouille, The Incredibles, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story) who previously scored Marvel’s Spider-Man: Homecoming and Doctor Strange. The soundtrack will be released on June 28, 2019 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The CD version will be available for pre-order here within the next few days.
