Premiering on Tuesday, August 30, is the FX limited series The Patient created by Joel Fields & Joe Weisberg and starring Steve Carell, Domhnall Gleeson, Laura Niemi, David Alan Grier, Linda Emond and Andrew Leeds. The show’s original music is composed by Nathan Barr (True Blood, The Americans, The Great, The House with a Clock in Its Walls, Cabin Fever, Hollywood, Hostel). The show is created by Craig Silverstein (Nikita, Terra Nova) and features the voices of Daniel Dae Kim, Katie Chang, Paul Dano, Rosemarie DeWitt, Taylor Schilling, Aaron Eckhart, Ron Livingston, Chris Diamantopoulos, Raza Jaffrey and William Hurt. The sci-fi drama is based on a collection of short stories by Ken Liu and centers on a bullied teen who receives mysterious help from a stranger, revealed to be her recently deceased father whose consciousness has been uploaded to the Cloud following an experimental destructive brain scan.

‘Highway 395’ Soundtrack Album to Be Released

Perseverance Records will release the first (commercial) soundtrack album for the 2000 western/thriller Highway 395 directed by Fred Dryer and starring Dryer himself, Greg Crooks, Christopher Neame, Geoffrey Lewis and Tim Thomerson. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominees Marco Beltrami (3:10 to Yuma, Logan, Scream, A Quiet Place, The Wolverine, Hellboy) & Buck Sanders (The Hurt Locker, Ford v Ferrari, No Escape, Warm Bodies) and performed by the Hollywood Studio Symphony. Over the last few weeks, Marco Beltrami (3:10 to Yuma, Logan, Scream, Ford v. Ferrari, A Quiet Place, The Wolverine, Venom: Let There Be Carnage, The Hurt Locker) has released three of his early scores from his first projects in the 1990s. Available to stream/download now on all major digital music platforms is the composer’s music from the 1999 indie drama The Florentine directed by Nick Stagliano and starring Jeremy Davies, Virginia Madsen, Luke Perry, Mary Stuart Masterson, Chris Penn, Michael Madsen and Tom Sizemore, the 1995 TV series Land’s End starring Fred Dryer, Geoffrey Lewis & Tim Thomerson, as well as the 1995 short The Bicyclist directed by Robert Stark Hickey and starring Richmond Harrison & Scott Vance. Hollywood Records will release a soundtrack album for the Hulu thriller No Exit. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee Marco Beltrami (Logan, Scream, 3:10 to Yuma, A Quiet Place, Ford v Ferrari, The Wolverine, Hellboy) & Miles Hankins (Nine Perfect Strangers, Long Shot, The Night Before). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, February 25 and will be available to stream/download here. No Exit is directed by Damien Power and stars Havana Rose Liu, David Rysdahl, Danny Ramirez, Mila Harris and Dennis Haysbert. The 20th Century Studios production follows a young woman en route to a family emergency who is stranded by a blizzard at a highway rest area, when she stumbles across an abducted girl in a van in the parking lot.

The show’s original music is composed by Chris Tilton (Fringe, Alias, Zoo). The Pixies have recoded a cover version of Livingston & Evans’ Que Sera, Sera (Whatever Will Be, Will Be) for the sci-fi horror drama’s opening titles. Premiering tomorrow, February 21, is the NBC drama The Endgame created by Nicholas Wootton & Jake Coburn and starring Morena Baccarin, Ryan Michelle Bathé, Costa Ronin, Kamal Bolden, Jordan Johnson-Hinds, Noah Bean and Mark Damon Espinoza. Tony Morales (Reacher, Scorpion, Elena of Avalor, Bloodline, An Actor Prepares, The Fugitive) is composing the show’s original score. The composer also co-wrote the music for the pilot episode with Brian Tyler (Fast & Furious, Iron Man 3, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Crazy Rich Asians,). ‘Scream’ Original Score Box Set to Be Released

Varese Sarabande will release a new box set featuring the original scores from the first four installments in the Scream series. Marco Beltrami (Logan, A Quiet Place, Ford v. Ferrari, 3:10 to Yuma, World War Z, The Wolverine, The Hurt Locker) has composed the original music for all four movies. The 6-Disc set features the content of the label’s Scream & Scream 2 Deluxe Editions on the first two discs, as well as the composer’s expanded score from Scream 3 and Scream 4 on the third, fourth and fifth disc. The sixth disc features previously unreleased music from all films, as well as alternates and demo cues. The soundtrack will be released tomorrow, January 7.
