Hollywood Records & Marvel Music will release a soundtrack album for the first-ever interactive Disney+ original story What If…? – An Immersive Story. The album features the original music from the mixed reality experience composed by Academy Award nominee Laura Karpman (American Fiction, The Marvels, Ms. Marvel, Set It Up, Lovecraft Country, Taken, Paris Can Wait) and Nora Kroll-Rosenbaum (Stockholm, Pennsylvania, Regarding Susan Sontag, Prisoner’s Daughter, Bird Karma) who are also scoring the What If…? animated series. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, August 16 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Laura Karpman (American Fiction, Set It Up, Lovecraft Country, Paris Can Wait, Taken, Why We Hate) has been tapped to score the upcoming superhero movie Captain America: Brave New World. The film is directed by Julius Onah (Luce, The Cloverfield Paradox) and stars Anthony Mackie, Danny Ramirez, Harrison Ford, Shira Haas, Carl Lumbly, Xosha Roquemore ,Liv Tyler, Tim Blake Nelson and Giancarlo Esposito. The movie follows the title character who – after meeting with th newly elected U.S. President – finds himself in the middle of an international incident and must discover the reason behind a nefarious global plot.
‘Rock Hudson: All That Heaven Allowed’ Soundtrack to Be Released
Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the HBO original documentary Rock Hudson: All That Heaven Allowed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee Laura Karpman (American Fiction, The Marvels, Ms. Marvel, What If…?, Set It Up, Lovecraft Country, Paris Can Wait, Taken, Why We Hate) who recently received an Emmy Award nomination for her score. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s second season composed by Laura Karpman (The Marvels, Ms. Marvel, American Fiction, Lovecraft Country, Taken, Underground) & Nora Kroll-Rosenbaum (Stockholm, Pennsylvania, Prisoner’s Daughter, Regarding Susan Sontag, Bird Karma). The soundtrack will be released digitally later today by Hollywood Records & Marvel Music and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. The labels have previously released albums for each episode of the back in 2021, as well as an EP for the Season 2 episode What If… Happy Hogan Saved Christmas? last month.

Premiering on Wednesday, December 20, is the Disney+ original series Percy Jackson and the Olympians developed by Rick Riordan & Jonathan E. Steinberg based on Riordan’s book series and starring Walker Scobell, Leah Sava Jeffries and Aryan Simhadri. Bear McCreary (The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, 10 Cloverfield Lane, Outlander, The Walking Dead) has composed the themes for the show and Sparks & Shadows have provided the score. Hollywood Records will release a soundtrack album this coming Friday, December 22. Premiering on Thursday, December 21, is the second season of the Peacock original anthology series Dr. Death written by Ashley Michel Hoban based on the Wondery podcast and starring Edgar Ramírez, Mandy Moore, Luke Kirby, Gustaf Hammarsten and Ashley Madekwe. The show’s original music is composed by Leopold Ross (Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, The Book of Eli, Death Note, Dispatches from Everywhere) & Nick Chuba (The Girl from Plainville, Operation Varsity Blues) who previously co-scored Season 1 with Atticus Ross. The new season, which follows”Miracle Man” Paolo Macchiarini, a charming surgeon renowned for his innovative operations, will be available to stream on Peacock.
