Maisie Music Publishing will release a soundtrack album for the Netflix stop-motion animated special The House. The album features the original music from all three episodes of the anthology special composed by Academy Award winner Gustavo Santaolalla (Brokeback Mountain, The Book of Life, Babel, Narcos: Mexico, The Motorcycle Diaries, Finch, 21 Grams). Also included is the original song This House Is… by Santaolalla & Jarvis Cocker who is also part of the project’s voice cast. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, January 14 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. The House is directed by Emma de Swaef & Marc Roels, Niki Lindroth von Bahr and Paloma Baeza and also features the voice talent Mia Goth, Susan Wokoma, Helena Bonham Carter, Matthew Goode, Claudie Blakley, Paul Kaye, Sven Wollter, Yvonne Lombard, Will Sharpe and Mark Heap.

Gustavo Santaolalla & Kevin Kiner Scoring ABC’s ‘Promised Land’
Gustavo Santaolalla (Brokeback Mountain, Babel, The Book of Life,The Motorcycle Diaries) & Kevin Kiner (Star Wars: The Clone Wars & Rebels, CSI: Miami) are reuniting to co-score the new ABC drama Promised Land. The show is created by Matt Lopez (Race to Witch Mountain, The Sorcerer’s Apprentice) and stars John Ortiz, Cecilia Suárez, Christina Ochoa, Augusto Aguilera, Mariel Molino, Tonatiuh, Katya Martín, Andres Velez and Rolando Chusan. The series centers on a Latinx family vying for wealth and power in California’s Sonoma Valley.

Premiering tonight is the new Fox comedy Pivoting created by Liz Astrof and starring Eliza Coupe, Ginnifer Goodwin, Maggie Q, JT Neal, Tommy Dewey and Marcello Reyes. The show’s original music is composed by Gabriel Mann (Modern Family, A Million Little Things, High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, Rectify, The Unicorn, Rosewood). The animated comedy is set across different eras and follows a poor family, an anxious developer and a fed-up landlady who become tied to the same mysterious house.

Opening in theaters nationwide today is the superhero movie Eternals directed by Chloe Zhao and starring Gemma Chan, Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, Angelina Jolie, Brian Tyree Henry, Salma Hayek, Barry Keoghan and Kit Harington. The film’s original score is composed by Ramin Djawadi (Games of Thrones, Iron Man, Westworld, Pacific Rim, Clash of the Titans, A Wrinkle in Time). Hollywood Records and Marvel Music have released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s music, as well as the original song Nach Mera Hero performed by Celina Sharma earlier this week. Gaumont TV USA will release the first soundtrack album for the Netflix original series Narcos: Mexico. The album features selections of the original music from all three seasons of the show composed by Gustavo Santaoloalla (Brokeback Mountain, Babel, The Book of Life, The Motorcycle Diaries) & Kevin Kiner (Star Wars: The Clone Wars, The Bad Batch & Rebels, Doom Patrol, CSI: Miami, Titans). Also included is the extended version of Rodrigo Amarante’s main titles theme, Tuyo, which has previously been released as a digital single. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, November 5 and will be available to stream/download on Apple Music/iTunes. Narcos: Mexico is created by Carlo Bernard, Chris Brancato & Doug Miro and stars Diego Luna, Michael Peña, Tenoch Huerta, Joaquin Cosio, Jose Maria Yazpik, Matt Letscher, Teresa Ruiz, Alyssa Diaz, Alejandro Edda, Alfonso Dosal and Scoot McNairy.

Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the sci-fi drama Finch. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award winner Gustavo Santaolalla (Brokeback Mountain, Babel, The Book of Life, The Motorcycle Diaries, 21 Grams, August: Osage County). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, November 5 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Finch is directed by Miguel Sapochnik and stars Tom Hanks and Caleb Landry Jones. The movie produced by Amblin Entertainment follows a robotics engineer and one of the few survivors of a cataclysmic solar event who embarks on a journey to find a new home for his unlikely family—his beloved dog and a newly created robot in a dangerous and ravaged world.
‘El Cid’ Themes and Inspirations Album Released
Lakeshore Records has released a new soundtrack album for the Spanish Amazon original series El Cid. The album features the original themes, interludes and textures written by Academy Award winner Gustovo Santaolalla (Brokeback Mountain, Babel, The Motorcycle Diaries, The Book of Life, Narcos: Mexico) who composed the music for the first two seasons of the show with Alfonso G. Aguilar. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out the full track list and listen to audio samples. The first two tracks can also be checked out below. The label has previously released a soundtrack featuring Santaolalla’s & Aguilar’s score from Season 1 & 2 earlier this year. El Cid is created by José Velasco & Luis Arranz and stars Jaime Lorente, Álvaro Rico, Jaime Olías, Juan Echanove, Alicia Sanz and Amparo Alcazar.
Kali Uchis’ Original Song ‘If It’s to Be’ from Netflix’s ‘Maya and the Three’ Released
Interscope Records has released the original song If It’s to Be from the Netflix animated event series Maya and the Three. The track written by Academy Award winners Gustavo Santaolalla (Brokeback Mountain, Babel, 21 Grams, The Book of Life) & Paul Williams (The Muppet Movie, A Star Is Born) and performed by Grammy Award winner Kali Uchis is now available to stream/download as a digital single (which also features a Spanish language version) on all major digital music platforms, including Amazon.
