Pathé Films has released a soundtrack album for the French family adventure King. The album features the film’s original music composed by Guillaume Roussel (3 Days to Kill, Black Beauty, The Spy, BAC Nord, Happy!, The Man with the Iron Heart). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Apple Music/iTunes, where you can also check out the track list and listen to audio samples. King is co-written and directed by David Moreau and stars Gérard Darmon, Lou Lambrecht, Léo Lorleac’h, Thibault de Montalembert, Clémentine Baert and Artus. The movie revolves around a trafficked lion cub who escapes from the airport in mid-transit and finds shelter in the home of two siblings who decide to bring him back to Africa.

Guillaume Roussel to Score Clovis Cornillac’s ‘The Colors of Fire’
Guillaume Roussel (3 Days to Kill, Black Beauty, Happy!, The Spy, The Man with the Iron Heart) has been tapped to score the upcoming French period thriller The Colors of Fire (Couleurs de l’incendie). The film is directed by Clovis Cornillac (Belle and Sebastian, Friends for Life) and stars Lea Drucker, Benoit Poelvoorde, Olivier Gourmet, Alice Isaaz, as well as Cornillac himself. The movie based on the best-selling novel by Pierre Lemaitre is set in Paris in the 1920s and tells the story of a woman who takes revenge after she misses out on inheriting the financial empire of her father after his death.

Walt Disney Records has released a soundtrack album for the Disney+ original movie Black Beauty. The album features the film’s original music composed by Guillaume Roussel (3 Days to Kill, Happy!, The Spy, The Man with the Iron Heart, Ransom). The soundtrack is now to stream/download here, where you can also check out audio samples. Black Beauty is written and directed by Ashley Avis and stars Mackenzie Foy, Iain Glen, Claire Forlani, as well as Kate Winslet as the voice of Black Beauty. The movie based on Anna Sewell’s classic novel follows the titular wild horse as she is taken away from her family and brought to Birtwick Stables, where she meets a spirited teenage girl.

Premiering tomorrow, November 23, is the FX and BBC limited series Black Narcissus developed by Amanda Coe based on the novel of the same title by Rumer Godden and starring Gemma Arterton, Alessandro Nivola, Diana Rigg, Aisling Franciosi, Jim Broadbent, Rosie Cavaliero, Patsy Ferran, Karen Bryson, Nila Aalia, Kulvinder Ghir, Chaneil Kular, Gina McKee, Soumil Malla, Dipika Kunwar,and Gianni Gonsalves. The show’s original music is composed by Anne Dudley (The Full Monty, American History X, The Crying Game, Poldark, The Hustle). Guillaume Roussel (3 Days to Kill, Happy!, The Spy, The Man with the Iron Heart, Primal, It Boy, Ransom) has recently scored the upcoming new film adaptation of Anna Sewell’s classic 19th century novel Black Beauty. The film is written and directed by Ashley Avis (Adolescence, Deserted) and stars Mackenzie Foy, Iain Glen, Claire Forlani, as well as Kate Winslet as the voice of Black Beauty. The drama follows a 17-year old girl who is grieving over the loss of her parents and develops a bond with a wild mustang that is captured and taken away from family.

The 6-parter tells the true story of Israeli clerk-turned-secret agent Eli Cohen as he goes deep undercover inside Syria on a mission to spy for Mossad.

The movie chronicles the recent fall of Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein and his years of alleged abuse. The documentary premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and will be available to stream exclusively on Hulu.

Guillaume Roussel Scoring Nick Powell’s ‘Primal’
Composer Guillaume Roussel (3 Days to Kill, Happy!, The Man with the Iron Heart, It Boy, Ransom) is reuniting with director Nick Powell on the upcoming action movie Primal. The film starring Nicolas Cage, Famke Janssen, Kevin Durand, Michael Imperioli and LaMonica Garrett centers on a big-game hunter for zoos who is shipping a white Jaguar from the Amazon back to the States aboard a freighter, along with a political assassin being extradited to the U.S in secret. Richard Leder wrote the screenplay.
