Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Victoria Monét has recorded an original end-credit song for an upcoming episode of Lucasfilm’s live-action Star Wars series The Acolyte. The track, entitled Power of Two, is co-written by Monét, Academy Award-and Grammy Award-winning producer D’Mile, and the show’s composer Michael Abels (Get Out, Us, Nope, Bad Education) and will be released on all streaming platforms tomorrow, June 14 by Walt Disney Records. ‘Pauline’ Soundtrack Album Released
Hollywood Records has released a soundtrack album for the German Disney+/Hulu original series Pauline. The album features selections of the show’s original score and songs composed by Alex Mayr (Christmas Crossfire) & Konstantin Gropper (How to Sell Drugs Online (Fast), Same Same But Different). Pauline is created by Philipp Käßbohrer, Matthias Murmann, Elena Lyubarskaya & Sebastian Colley and stars Sira-Anna Faal, Ludger Bökelmann and Lukas von Horbatschewsky. The teen drama follows the title character who gains supernatural abilities after getting pregnant following a one-night stand and becomes the decisive force in the epic battle between good and evil.

Premiering tonight is the HBO original documentary series Ren Faire produced and directed by Lance Oppenheim and executive produced by Elara Pictures. The 3-parter, which explores the succession drama at the Texas Renaissance Festival and the power struggle between an actor, a former elephant trainer and a kettle-corn kingpin, all vying to claim the throne of the leader, 86-year-old George Coulams, will air Sundays on HBO and will also be available to stream on Max.

The 6-part biographical drama is set against the backdrop of Parisian nights in the 70s and chonicles the rise of the fashion designer through who – after meeting and falling in love with Jacques de Bascher – finds himself in competition with Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Bergé, the head of the most prestigious fashion brand around.

Capitol Records will release a soundtrack album for the Disney+ original documentary The Beach Boys. The album features a collection of songs from the titular band, including such hits as Good Vibrations, God Only Knows, Wouldn’t It Be Nice, Don’t Worry Baby, Surfin’ U.S.A., Fun, Fun, Fun, among others. Also included as a bonus track is the new Beach Boys-inspired track Baby Blue Bathing Suit co-written (with Dan Nigro & Amy Allen) and performed by Stephen Sanchez (check out the music video below). Pearl Jam lead guitarist Mike McCready (of Pearl Jam) has provided the original score for the new Disney+ original documentary The Beach Boys. The film is directed by Frank Marshall (Alive, Arachnophobia, The Bee Gees: How Can You Bend a Broken Heart) & Thom Zimny (Sly, Western Stars) and traces the band from humble family beginnings and features never-before-seen footage and new interviews with Brian Wilson, Mike Love, David Marks, Al Jardine, Bruce Johnston, among other luminaries in the music business.

Natalie Holt & Jack Halama Scoring Hulu’s & Disney+’s ‘Rivals’
Natalie Holt (Loki, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Journey’s End, Knightfall, Herself, Fever Dream, Beecham House, Press) has teamed up with Jack Halama (Traces, Who Is Erin Carter?, Kindred, Rogue, Too Close) to score the upcoming British Hulu/Disney+ original series Rivals. The show is based on the novel of the same title by Dame Jilly Cooper and star Alex Hassell, Aidan Turner, Nafessa Williams, Bella Maclean, Katherine Parkinson and David Tennant. The 8-part drama is set against the backdrop of the drama, excess, and shocking antics of the power-grabbing social elite of 1980s England and explores the ruthless world of independent television in 1986.

Walt Disney Records will release a soundtrack album for Lucasfilm’s Disney+ original animated series Star Wars: Tales of the Empire. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Kevin Kiner (Ahsoka, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels, Star Wars: The Bad Batch, CSI: Miami, Hell on Wheels, Doom Patrol, Narcos: Mexico). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, May 10 and will be available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. The label has previously released Kiner’s score from 2022’s first installment, Tales of the Jedi.
